A huge congratulations to our Bradford team for being named the overall winner for Best Customer Survey Result for May 2026 in the Allianz Network Performance Report! 🎉

This fantastic achievement reflects the hard work, dedication and excellent customer service delivered across the site. The winning feedback also included a special mention for Gemma, Pete and Matt, recognising the positive impact they had on the customer's experience.

The winning comment reads as follows:

“I spoke to 3 people at the Vella Repair garage : Gemma, Peter, and Matt. All 3 were excellent and I felt they really did care about my needs and took real interest in my case. Peter and Matt talked to me about the repairs needed and identified damage I was unaware of; they discussed time scales and were incredibly thorough and understanding and I can’t thank them enough. I thought that the service they all provided was exceptional..”

A brilliant result and well-deserved recognition for the whole team. Well done everyone! 👏

Monday marked the last day of a six-week placement for two students from Manchester Young Lives.

Each week, the students joined us at our Manchester East site to support with valeting, giving them the opportunity to build practical skills, gain workplace experience, and grow in confidence.

Colin Morton, Bodyshop Manager, shared: “The guys really enjoyed their time with us and engaged with the team to learn more about how we repair cars. They also helped us clean customers’ cars each week. It was a pleasure to have them here, and it was rewarding to see the smiles on their faces when they arrived and when they left.”

Placements like this help young people develop valuable skills, build confidence, and gain insight into the world of work, while strengthening our links with the local community.

A big thank you to the Manchester East site team for welcoming the students and supporting them throughout their placement, and to Manchester Young Lives for partnering with us to help create opportunities for young people to gain valuable workplace experience.

Last week we had the pleasure of attending the B&FC Apprenticeship Awards at Blackpool Football Club, where we were proud to be finalists for the Large Employer of the Year 2026 award.

It was a fantastic evening celebrating the achievements of apprentices, employers, and training providers from across a range of industries. We really value our strong and ongoing partnership with Blackpool and The Fylde College, and would like to thank them for their continued support in developing our apprentices and helping us invest in future talent.

A big congratulations to Community Academy, who were the winners in our category, and well done to all the other inspiring finalists!

Last week, Eyebox Training & Conference Centre in Coventry hosted The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) Skills Competitions National Qualifiers in Refinishing and Body Repair, bringing together talented apprentices from across the UK to show their skills, professionalism, and quality of work.

Our Technical Training Manager, Allan Wareing, was proud to be part of the judging panel for the competition.

We would also like to say a huge well done to Denny Parkyn from our Coventry site, who completed his IMI skills test on Friday. Denny performed brilliantly throughout and should be really proud of what he achieved.

Well done to everyone who took part across the week 👏

Congratulations to Craig Saunders, Bodyshop Manager at our Bristol site, who has completed an incredible challenge by climbing Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK, in support of the Royal British Legion and its mental health services.

Despite difficult conditions and freezing temperatures near the summit, the team showed fantastic determination throughout the climb. Carrying a fridge all the way to the top made the challenge even tougher, but through teamwork and perseverance they successfully completed the ascent.

So far, the fundraiser has raised an amazing ÂŁ7,807 for the Royal British Legion, supporting a truly worthwhile cause.

A huge well done to Craig and everyone involved in this fantastic achievement.

If you would still like to donate, there is still time to support the cause.

On Thursday 7th May, Enterprise hosted their Charity Football Match at Macclesfield Town Football Club in support of Insurance United Against Dementia and Alzheimer's Society.

The match saw two teams made up of representatives from the bodyshop, insurance and supply sectors come together for the occasion.

Our Commercial Director, Tom Hadfield, joined the action in the second half, stepping into goal for the Blue team. The final score ended in an 11–2 defeat for the Blues, but it was a brilliant day filled with plenty of team spirit, support and great energy both on and off the pitch.

Most importantly, the event brought people together to raise awareness and support two incredibly important causes, with over ÂŁ100,000 raised for charity, helping to highlight the impact dementia has on so many individuals and families.

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, and the theme is a call to action.

Mental health is something we all have, every day. Just like physical health, it can change over time depending on what is happening in our lives, both at work and outside of it.

A call to action does not have to mean something big. It can be small, simple moments that help create awareness and connection. Checking in with ourselves, noticing how others are doing, and having open conversations can all make a difference.

Looking after mental health is not something that happens once in a while. It is part of everyday life, and small actions can help us support ourselves and each other in meaningful ways.

If you or someone you know needs support, please remember help is always available:
🔹Samaritans – 116 123 (24/7, free, confidential)
🔹Mind – 0300 123 3393 (Mon–Fri, 9am–6pm)
🔹Ben – 08081 311 333 | ben.org.uk (free, confidential support for automotive colleagues)
🔹NHS 111 – 111 (24/7, mental health option available)
🔹Your GP – for medical advice, support and referrals

Last night we attended the ABP British Bodyshop Awards. 🎉

A huge congratulations to Allan Wareing, our Technical Training Manager, who won AutoRaise Industry Skills Advocate of the Year. This is a really well-deserved award and reflects the huge amount of time, care and effort he puts into supporting and developing our apprentices. Allan is always on hand to guide them, share his experience and help them build confidence and skills throughout their training. It’s great to see his hard work and commitment recognised across the industry.

Well done also to Holly Caldwell, who was a finalist for the Northern Automotive Training Academy Rising Star award. This is a fantastic achievement and a real credit to her hard work, commitment, and positive attitude towards learning.

We were also proud to be finalists in the Gallagher Bassett Bodyshop of the Year category (Skelmersdale), alongside so many great businesses and individuals across the industry.

Congratulations to all of the other finalists on the night, it was great to be part of the event and celebrate the achievements across the sector.

Craig Saunders, Bodyshop Manager at our Bristol site, is taking on an incredible challenge starting on 7th May, climbing Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK.

He’s doing this not only for the personal challenge, but also to raise money and awareness for veterans and people currently serving in the armed forces who are facing mental health challenges, a cause he feels deserves far more support.

As part of the challenge, Craig will be carrying a fridge on his back during the climb. The fridge represents the heavy and often invisible burden carried by many within the Armed Forces community who are struggling with mental health challenges. It symbolises the weight of anxiety, trauma, and isolation that too many veterans and serving members face every day.

By taking on this challenge, the team aims to raise awareness, encourage important conversations, and generate vital funding for the Royal British Legion’s mental health services.

Wishing you the best of luck, Craig. We’ll be cheering you on!
