ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL DPF CLEAN!

This Citroën Berlingo DPF was brought to us by another local garage while they were working on the vehicle’s emissions system.

They asked us to clean the DPF as a precaution — and we think they made exactly the right call! 👍

Our pre-cleaning back-pressure reading was:

🔴 **33 mbar BEFORE**

After putting the DPF through the full Core Revival cleaning process, the post-cleaning reading was:

🟢 **9 mbar AFTER**

A great result and another successful clean! 💪

The video shows exactly what our cleaning process removes. Initially, you can see the black fluid, the soot being flushed from the DPF.

As the process continues, the fluid changes to a brown colour, this is the ash being removed.

It’s the accumulated soot and ash deposits inside the DPF that can contribute to increased restriction and back pressure, so removing these deposits can help restore the filter’s ability to flow.

Once cleaned, dried and tested, the DPF was issued with its Core Revival cleaning certificate and returned to the garage ready for refitting. ✅

💨🔥 THE DRYING PROCESS 🔥💨

A quick look behind the scenes at Core Revival…

Once a DPF has been thoroughly cleaned, it needs to be completely dried before it can be refitted to the vehicle.

Here you can see one of our DPFs hanging up to drain before it enters the drying stage.

We then flow the DPF core with hot air at around 90°C, carefully drying the core and removing any remaining moisture from the cleaning process.

Depending on the size of the DPF, this can be one of the longest stages of the cleaning process — but it's an important part of making sure the filter is properly prepared for refitting.

Once the core is completely dry, we move on to the next stage…

📊 POST-CLEANING BACK-PRESSURE & FLOW TESTING

This allows us to compare the readings against the pre-cleaning results and assess the effectiveness of the clean.

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL DPF CLEAN!

This time, we had a BMW 1 Series DPF arrive at the doors at Core Revival after experiencing high back-pressure readings.

Before cleaning, the DPF recorded a back-pressure reading of:

🔴 **38 mbar BEFORE**

The DPF was then put through our thorough cleaning process using the Carbon Clean DCS 20, designed to remove accumulated soot and ash from the DPF core.

Once the cleaning and drying process was complete, we carried out the post-cleaning test…

🟢 **6 mbar AFTER**

That's a reduction of 32 mbar — a really successful result! 💪🔥

The difference between the pre- and post-cleaning readings gives us measurable evidence of how the DPF responded to the cleaning process.

And for the customer, the biggest result is potentially an even better one…

💰 Hundreds of pounds saved compared with the cost of replacing the DPF.

Where a DPF is suitable for cleaning, professional cleaning can be a much more cost-effective option than immediately replacing the filter — while allowing the customer to retain their genuine DPF.

🚨 OUR FIRST CUSTOMER! 🚨

And what better way to officially get Core Revival underway than with **THREE commercial DPFs** through the door! 🔥

We were delighted to welcome **George Beal from DRB Recovery & Fleet Maintenance**, who brought us three commercial DPFs for cleaning.

Our first customer… and straight in with three! 💪😂

These three filters are now being put through the Core Revival process, with pre-cleaning testing, thorough cleaning and post-cleaning testing using our **Carbon Clean DCS 20**.

For George and his customers, having these DPFs professionally cleaned rather than replaced could mean **significant savings** compared with the cost of fitting costly replacement filters.

But it's not just about saving money…

🚨 WE’RE OFFICIALLY UP AND RUNNING! 🚨

Today was a BIG day for Core Revival… 🔥

We were delighted to welcome Ben Rudge from Carbon Clean UK to Constella for the commissioning of our brand-new Carbon Clean DCS 20.

After the trip to Automechanika Frankfurt, the decision to invest in the machine, and the excitement of watching it arrive, today was the day it all became real!

Ben spent the day with us commissioning the machine, making sure everything was set up correctly and ready to perform exactly as it should. He also took us through the machine and its operation, making sure we’re fully prepared to put the DCS 20 to work.

And now…

**Core Revival is officially OPEN!** 🎉🔥

Our new DPF cleaning division is ready to provide professional DPF cleaning for:

🚨 IT'S HERE! 🚨

After the excitement of Automechanika Frankfurt, the wait is finally over…

Our brand-new Carbon Clean DCS 20 has arrived at Constella! 🎉

First job — get this monster off the delivery truck. 💪

Rob was straight in with the forklift to carefully unload our new “Rolls-Royce” of DPF cleaning machines and get it safely into position.

Then came the important job…

The unboxing! 📦

And who better to take on that challenge than Jasmine? 😂

There was just one slight problem…

The box is about THREE TIMES THE SIZE OF HER! 🤣

But that didn't stop her!

After all the excitement, the DCS 20 is finally out of the box and ready for its new home at Core Revival.

This machine represents a big investment in our new DPF cleaning division, and we're incredibly excited about what we're going to be able to offer our customers.

Professional equipment. Proper testing. Thorough cleaning. Fast turnaround.

And the decision has been made…

After spending time at Automechanika Frankfurt looking at the different DPF cleaning machines available, Rob had one thing firmly in mind:

If we're going to do this, we're going to do it properly.

The goal was simple — find the Rolls-Royce of DPF cleaning machines. 🏎️

After seeing the different machines in action, asking plenty of questions and getting into the detail of how they work, we think we've found it…

The Carbon Clean DCS 20. 🔥

Rob and Jasmine caught up with Ben Rudge from Carbon Clean UK, and after seeing exactly what the DCS 20 is capable of, the decision was made.

A deal was done, a handshake sealed it 🤝 and our DCS 20 is officially on its way to Core Revival!

We're expecting to take delivery in just a few weeks, and we honestly can't wait to get started.

For now, though, it's time to enjoy our last few hours in Germany before heading home.

The next chapter of Core Revival is officially underway. 🚗🚛🚜

🇩🇪 A trip to Germany with a very important mission…

Rob and Jasmine from Constella recently travelled to Frankfurt, Germany, to visit the world-famous Automechanika show.

While there, they met with Ben Rudge from Carbon Clean UK to see the DCS 20 DPF cleaning machine in action and find out exactly what this impressive piece of equipment can do.

The visit was all about one question:

Is the DCS 20 the right machine to launch our new DPF cleaning division?

Also Rob said if were buying one were buying the Rolls Royce of Cleaning machines!

After seeing the technology first-hand and talking through the process, we're incredibly excited about what this could mean for Constella.

The new venture will form part of the DPF Cleaning Division at Constella MOT & Service Centre, bringing professional DPF cleaning to cars, vans, HGVs, agricultural, commercial, fleet and marine applications.

And so… Core Revival was born.
