Well that's the first MOT test done. No problems once the emissions requirement was sorted. The IVA pass had them as N/A which fed the V5 so they had no standard to test to. The levels were higher than expected, a bit of work to do there. Otherwise, all good for another year.

I've replaced my dash cam. Wasn't happy with the quality of the images and kept getting an error on the card. I bought one designed for motorcycles. Realy pleased with the fitting and image quality.

A few weeks ago I painted the underside of the floor just to cover over some scratches and surface rust. Whilst I was under there I noticed that the front Track Control Arms seemed to be rubbing on the mount. That may account for the occasional 'clunk' coming from the suspension when reversing. So I've modified and reconditioned a pair of spare TCAs and fitted them using some Flo-Flex Polyurethane Bushes. Let's see if that sorts the problem.

Took advantage of a break in the weather to warm the car and spin the wheels. Stopped off at the old garage. Then a zoom down the motorway. Ran lovely.

Unlikely to get driven mutch over the next couple of months. The mixture of road salt/grit and the inevitable dampness make it unwise. However, having just had an oil and filter change we're ready for the better weather. There are a few more changes planned but as they say - no plan survives first contact. Happy New Year.

Having replaced the rear suspension it was time for a test drive. No better way than a visit to Port Solent Car meet and then Locksheath Clasics. Definately drove better and was more forgiving over the many bumps.

Whilst we have this poor weather I thought I would give the back end a refresh. It hasn't done many miles but has been sat for more than 25 years. New springs and shocks from Auto-doc and trailing arms from SBparts.co.uk. When the upper shock bushes arrive from Burton Power I can start reassembly. - Notice how the old shocks have remained compressed.

Edited some dash cam footage to compare the sound without and with the scoop - not sure what the rattling/crackling is. Without is here and with in the comments.
