Good news. 🙏😎

We know the road closure has been a pain for a lot of you over the past few days and we’re sorry for any hassle it caused, genuinely not something we had any control over but we felt it all the same.

Traffic management have been in this morning and confirmed the road will be open again from midday today. So from lunchtime onwards it should all be back to normal. 🤞

Thanks for bearing with us. We’re still very much open and it’s business as usual on site. See you soon. 👊

🚨 Heads up for anyone heading to us. 🚧

There’s a road closure nearby at the moment and we’ve had a few reports of the traffic management being a bit hit and miss with who they’re letting through. Trucks are ok to come and park up for the night, but with locals and cars, some are getting through fine, others not so much. Honestly not something we have any control over and we’re sorry if it’s caught anyone out.

Best advice, just let them know you’re heading to Embassy and hopefully that does the trick.🤞

And for truck drivers leaving site, turn right rather than left and make your way to the roundabout from there.

We’re fully open as always. Hopefully it’s resolved soon. Sorry for any hassle caused, it really is out of our hands. 🙏

Quiet. Clean. Spotless showers. A fantastic place to relax. And Yorkin even mentioned the minibus run to Tesco, which is exactly the kind of thing we do because it just makes sense.

For any drivers who don’t know, on weekends we run a free minibus to the supermarket and back. Because when you’re away from home for days at a time, being able to grab a few bits shouldn’t be a hassle.

It’s the little things. And we’ll keep doing them. 🙏

Thank you Yorkin, and thank you to the parking management he says. That’s our team. They work hard every day and this kind of feedback means a lot to them. 👊

Hopefully sooner rather than later 🤞🤞🤞

Some good news at last! 🙌

After all the disruption over the last couple of weeks, Southern Water have confirmed to me this evening that all of the repair works following the sewer bursts have now been successfully completed.

Teams have moved on to reinstatement and getting everything back to normal.

And importantly, a couple of updates for anyone travelling around Sandwich:

🚦 The temporary two-way traffic lights on the A256 between Ash Roundabout and Water Gardens will be cleared by tomorrow.

🚧 Reinstatement work on the A256 Ramsgate Road is progressing well, with Southern Water currently expecting the remaining work to be completed by the weekend. The closure will need to remain while those final works are carried out safely.

🅿️ The signs and barriers at The Quay Car Park are also being removed, with the affected area due to reopen shortly.

It has been a pretty extraordinary couple of weeks locally. Multiple sewer bursts, tankers seemingly everywhere, lane and road closures and plenty of disruption for residents and businesses.

So I think a big thank you is due to everyone who has put up with it, particularly those living and working closest to the affected areas.

And also to the teams who have been working on the ground, often in some very challenging conditions, to get everything repaired.

We’re not quite completely back to normal yet, but we’re getting there! 👍

Honestly, we never thought we'd be saying that.

When we started this, we just wanted to show people what Embassy was about. Good parking, proper security, good food, a place that actually gives a damn about the people using it.

We didn't set out to build a following. We just tried to do things right and share it.

So to every driver who's stopped with us, every local who's come in for a meal, every person who's shared a post, left a review or just been along for the ride, thank you. Every single one of you got us here.

So here I am. I’m Joe, the owner of Embassy Truck Park, and to be honest, I’m not very comfortable doing these kinds of videos. Does it show? 👀😄

But one thing we are very comfortable doing, is making your stay as good as it can be.

Secure 24/7 parking. ANPR entry and exit. 50 cameras. Security patrols through the night. Nearly 200 fully lined bays on brand new tarmac. Dedicated separate parking for refrigerated units. Clean showers & seperate ladies showers, Driver-only gym. Laundry. Site-wide WiFi. Meal voucher included with every overnight stay.

And we’ve just had air conditioning installed in both the Roadhouse Diner and the driver gym, because comfort matters all year round.

The Roadhouse Diner is open from 6am Monday to Saturday and 8am on Sundays. Good food, good price, good vibes. Free pool. Free darts. Garden bar. Open to everyone, drivers, locals, families.

Just let the traffic management at the roundabout know your coming to us, and you will be let through no problem at all.

Once leaving site, you can't turn left at the moment. However, you can still turn right and make your way to the roundabout and continue as normal from there.

Sorry for any inconvenience, it's out of our hands unfortunately. But we're very much open and it's very much business as usual once you're on site. 👊
