Recreated photo from the magazine, shot of Tex being washed (presumably before the rest of the photos were taken) at Hollands Garage on Somerton business park. Business and car wash are still there amazingly. Believed this car wash was used many times by Diesel Car mag as it was on the same industrial estate that the magazine was based. Which reminds me, she needs a clean!

I forgot to say, the Chop made it to the Isle of White and back without a hitch. Turns out throwing an unknown engine can turn out alright, it doesn't even smoke!

One week till holiday, and the Chops new engine is in with help from . Bit of a down grade tho it now being 1098 powered...

One week till holiday, and the Chops new engine is in with help from . Bit of a down grade tho it now being 1098 powered rather than 1275 but still running the type 9 gearbox and Weber DCOE 40 so should be interesting.

The 1275 Ital lump was starting to make some horrific noises and I'd rather not blow a hole in the side of that given how hard to come by they are now. However I don't have a problem blowing a hole in the side of a 1098 which has been in a goat shed for 30 odd years... Well we'll see if it's a goer.
