The Great British Summer! 😍☀️🇬🇧

Any long standing citizen of our great little island will tell you that a glimpse of warm, borderline-tropical weather is without a doubt followed by a week-long spell of horizontal rain, blustering winds and thunderous nights! 😂⛈️

Even some colourful NSE stock won’t brighten a day like today! 😲 And no, it’s not AI, it’s a good old-fashioned .mrc set up with a splattering of Adobe Photoshop! 😉 Long live the PSD file! 😅🫣

It’s Monday again! Time to endure the morning madness! 🤯

Digging through the camera roll this morning, came across this snap from a busy (and colourful) .mrc running session! 😍 The beautifully modelled Gatwick Express built by the ever talented .station always turns a head on the layout, giving nostalgic throwbacks to the 80’s and 90’s of a bygone era! ⏳

Scottish memories in May! 😍📸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It’s fair to say May has been a busy month! 🥵 A record month for work has meant progress has stalled on both layouts, however that said, a trip from Scotland onboard the Caledonian Express trumps most things! 😍🤩

Travelling behind 73970 ‘W.S.Sellar’ from Aberdeen to Edinburgh before taking to the electrified routes behind 92018 into London!🤩 A mega trip with some wonderful hospitality and views! 👏 Bucket list ticked! ✅

Last night’s summer BBQ with some wonderful friends saw the long-awaited return of D7502 (more on that later) and an opportunity to finally see Justin’s ‘Chatswell’ NSE layout in person! 😍 This beautifully modelled layout, set in 1989 combines clever angles and scenery to recreate authentic third-rail mainline running in a small space! 👏
