Another victim of a blocked DPF causing turbo failure on this 2019 Ford Transit.

Modern diesel vehicles need regular runs at higher speeds to allow the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) to regenerate properly. When they're used mainly for short trips and town driving, the DPF can become blocked, leading to excessive back pressure and, in many cases, premature turbo failure.

If your diesel spends most of its life around town, make sure it gets a decent run on the motorway from time to time. A little preventative maintenance can save you from a very expensive repair bill.

Do you own a 2016+ Transit like this? If so, it’s worth reading on ⬇️⬇️⬇️

The later Transit engines are well known for wet belt issues, meaning there’s a good chance you may need a replacement during your ownership — regardless of mileage.

As the belt starts to break down, small particles can block the oil strainer. This then causes oil starvation to the engine and turbo… and you can probably guess what happens next.

This really is preventative maintenance, and something we highly recommend. We’ve carried out plenty of these now and have perfected the process, helping keep costs as low as possible and keeping your vehicle off the road for the shortest time we can.

Volkswagen caddy in for lowering springs and top mounts up front and a aftermarket lowering rear beam kit for the rear.. finished off with the wheels refurbished by F.C.C Rochford Bodyshop .

The customer uses this for work daily and still from time to time carries weight so we set it up just perfect 👌🏼
