🚗 Not all calipers can be saved!

These Mercedes SL280 front calipers came into us with both front calipers suffering from seized pistons.

We carefully removed the seized pistons before acid stripping and blasting the calipers to fully assess their condition.

Once blasted, the extent of the corrosion became clear — the piston pots were heavily corroded and unfortunately beyond what we would consider a safe and reliable repair.

We reported our findings to the customer straight away rather than simply carrying out a repair that we couldn’t stand behind.

🔧 We don’t repair calipers at any cost.
Safety and quality always come first. If a caliper is too badly corroded, we’ll tell you honestly and recommend the best option.

Another example of why proper inspection and preparation is so important when refurbishing brake calipers.
