Another exciting build is taking shape at Audacious Marine Boats and Mouldings Ltd!

Our latest project is a 10-metre x 4.5-metre commercial vessel, purpose-built for seal and wildlife tours. Designed with performance, comfort and reliability in mind, she will be powered by twin Volvo Penta D4-270 engines, making her ideal for commercial passenger operations.

Emergency GRP Repair Completed – Fast Rescue Boat

Over the weekend, our team was tasked with carrying out temporary structural repairs to a Fast Rescue Boat (FRB) operating aboard a cross-Channel ferry.

The vessel had sustained impact damage while being recovered onto its cradle. Following a full inspection, we identified two splits in the hull laminate together with internal delamination. To allow safe access to the damaged area, the batteries were removed before repairs commenced.

The damaged laminate was carefully ground back to sound material before rebuilding the hull to the required laminate specification using marine-grade GRP repair techniques. The repair was then refinished to provide a high-quality temporary structural repair in accordance with the agreed scope of works.

Marine GRP repairs require precision, patience and attention to detail, and this project was completed over several days to ensure the highest standard of workmanship.

Whether it’s emergency repairs, insurance work, commercial vessels, passenger boats, lifeboats or new GRP construction, Audacious Marine Boats and Mouldings Ltd has the experience to deliver.

Congratulations to Steve Postles on taking delivery of his new 7m x 3m Offset Console Cougar!

This versatile vessel was supplied as a part-built project and will be completed by Steve to suit his exact operational requirements.

Once finished, she’ll be used for:
🎣 Fishing training
🚤 Fishing trips
⚓ Commercial fishing throughout the winter season

The vessel is powered by a pair of Mercury 60hp outboard engines, which will be installed and commissioned by the owner.

As part of the build, we fitted:
✅ Seating for 12 passengers plus 2 crew
✅ A large forward port-side access door, providing easy boarding for passengers and making it simple to load nets, fishing equipment and other gear.
✅ Our proven 7m x 3m Cougar hull, designed to deliver exceptional stability, deck space and practicality in all sea conditions.

🚢 Another successful job completed along the South Coast today.

We were asked to carry out repairs on a ship’s lifeboat to ensure it complied with MCA standards. Our team travelled down the South Coast and completed the work within the required timeframe, ensuring the vessel remained fully compliant and operational.
