This one got me scratching my head for a while, but we got there in the end and it shocks me that someone would do this just to get a few extra pounds of the customer.. been to another garage and they diagnosed the fault as a relay, but explainedif the relay didn't wort then it may be the control module that costs hundredsof pounds.. The vauxhall corsa had no washers and customer was fed up of waiting as the other garage had fed them a line of the relay they said it needed still wasn't there after 2 weeks... on investigation I checked all feeds and removed washer pump to check functionality, all was OK but the pump wasn't getting a live. I checked all fuses with tester and all had continuity so I checked into the wiring. After sleeping on it, I was determined to find the problem, and I did. Someone had cut or filed down one side of the fuse so it checked out OK from tester point,but wasn't making contact in the fuse box... customer was over the moon as he thought it was going to cost hundreds.

This was a bit of a pain, audi a4 front wheel bearing. Normally straight forward but this one had been attempted by some...

This was a bit of a pain, audi a4 front wheel bearing. Normally straight forward but this one had been attempted by someone else and possibly used the wrong size spline for the bolts ,which had rounded the beginning of the bolt head... perseverance and patience saw it come off with a few words of wisdom😂😂

A bit of a close call for this car, customer been using another garage and had a clutch fitted 2 months ago ,but the garage failed to mention the severe corrosion of the front part of the support cradle which acts as a support for the radiator and also a crumple zone incase of any accidents... this one would not have done anything to protect the driver as it was that corroded, it fell apart to touch...please ask your garages to let you know of any issues however minor so you can address them before its too late. New support supplied and fitted before passing the m.o.t.

Another little job this week... investigate noise while driving and could have been either the gearbox or clutch...on removal of gearbox we found the dual mass flywheel knocking when moved... full New clutch kit fitted with dual mass flywheel and back on road earning money..

Been busy leading up to the festive season, getting vehicles back on the road so the companies have full fleet over the holidays... one of the ford transits with the dredded wet belt changed at 89k miles. Along with the belt we also changed the oil pump/water pump and fully serviced it ready for work..

As the vehicles develop, so do the problems that come with them..this was a pain of a job but we managed to persevere an...

As the vehicles develop, so do the problems that come with them..this was a pain of a job but we managed to persevere and complete the job for the customer to be back on the road earning money.... First the flywheel let go and caused vehicle to be stranded, and then a injector fault saw us using big bars and brut force to remove them. Customer said do all 4 at same time as didnt want the reoccurring problems in future.

Few jobs over last week, a couple shocking and others bread and butter no matter what the task is we try and make sure...

Not normally one to plug a job but I had a elderly gentleman ring this morning due to his car having a flat battery and needed it to get around to hospital appointments.
He said he had called a few garages in the area and fobbed off and told it would be after Christmas... Even though I can't get a minute to think, I ordered the choice of 2 batteries and nipped to sort it for him... The gentleman was shocked but happy as he didn't even have time for a nap and I was there sorting the car....

Couple head scratching jobs this week but figured it out and 1st vehicle back on road earning its keep after having new ...

Couple head scratching jobs this week but figured it out and 1st vehicle back on road earning its keep after having new half shafts and bearings on rear axel. 2nd vehicle cut out and wouldn't start again after filling up with fuel earlier in the day, bit of a head baffler but eventually found around 10 litres of water in fuel tank and pulled through filter to injectors.
