Non starter call out 📞

We attended this call out after the customer could not get their vehicle to start, it would turn over but not fire up. They had been given quotes to get it transported to a local garage but they were very expensive.

After a plugging in our diagnostic computer we found that the fuel pressure was low, after removing the main fuel line to the engine there was no fuel coming through at all, a quick check of the fuel pump and it was completely dead.

We fitted a brand new Bosch unit and the car fired up straight away!

Another happy customer, driving away on the same day and without having to worry or pay to get the car to a garage.

Crankshaft pulley and belt replacement

A very common issue across the bmw platform is the serpentine belt failing and the main cause is the crankshaft pulley.

We got the call from this customer after he had a warning light on the dash.

He managed to get the car home and we came to his property in the evening as this worked best for him.

Crankshaft pulley replaced with a high quality Febi unit, it’s not even worth trying to use a cheap part on these as it will fail soon after.

New serpentine belt fitted and this car was back on the road.

Servicing your vehicle is a vital part of keeping it healthy and reliable. It really is true what they say.. if you look after your vehicle, it will look after you!

Luckily for this customer he gave us a call about a service on his work van. Which hadn’t been done in atleast 20000 miles and over 2 years, far exceeding our recommendations, just take a look at that air filter!! We completed a full service on the vehicle replacing all the filters and using the correct spec high quality engine oil. The brakes were also needing some love and had been advised on the MOT, so we fitted new pads and discs all round. Service light reset and book stamped.

This customer can have peace of mind that his vehicle will start and stop reliably.

All carried on out the owners driveway within the same day… no need for leaving your vehicle at a garage for days…!

We get an increasing amount of call outs for
Non starting vehicles in the winter.

We got the call from this customer to come and look at their vehicle due to it not starting, most commonly the battery is at fault due to low temperatures so this is always our first check. We performed a health check on the battery which it fully passed! Next step was the starter motor and it was found to be at fault.. completely dead.

We fitted a brand new unit on the spot and within a couple of hours this car was back on the road.

CARBON BUILD UP 🛑⛔️

A good customer of ours gave us a call regarding the engine management light and coil light flashing on their Volkswagen Golf 2.0TDI 2012.

We carried out a diagnostic test to find the code P0121 - throttle pedal malfunction.

Having seen this problem before we knew it would be due to carbon build up on the throttle body which stops the butterfly valve from moving. This is the worst one we have seen due to a lack of servicing.

We cleaned the throttle body and changed the oil filter, drained and refilled the engine oil with high quality VW spec oil. Cleared the fault codes and performed a throttle body reset.

The car now drives like a dream and no warning lights on the dashboard 👍😃

We got the call to come out and help this customer after their car failed it’s MOT.
The car failed on the lower ball joint and bushings.
We fitted a new original quality replacement arm that comes with the ball joints and bushes installed.
Now the car is ready for its retest and another year of motoring ✔️ 🚙

We got a call this morning for a non starting Renault Clio.
After checking the battery and alternator the next step was the starter motor.
It was completely dead so we supplied and fitted a brand new unit and got this customer back on the road within a couple of hours. No stress and fuss of trying to get the car too a garage… or waiting hours for a breakdown company!

Front brake pads and discs replacement this morning.

As you can see from the old brake discs they are very worn and blue from overheating.
The brake pads are also very worn this car was unsafe to drive.
We fitted high quality replacement Brembo pads and discs at the customers house and got them back on the road in a safe car within a couple of hours.
No need for leaving the car in a garage for a few days..!
