🚐🔧 This camper definitely wasn't whispering... it was shouting for a new clutch! 😅

The customer got in touch after noticing a very noisy clutch, so we got it booked in and got to work.

While we had everything apart, we fitted a brand-new 3-piece clutch kit, so it's now driving smoothly, quietly, and ready for plenty more road trips! 🙌

If your clutch is making strange noises, slipping, or just doesn't feel quite right, don't wait until you're stuck at the side of the road.

📞 Drop FC Automotive a message to get booked in – we're a family-run mobile mechanic, bringing the garage to you! 🔧🚗

🚗🔧 A little holiday warning before we disappear! ☀️

Just giving all our lovely customers a friendly heads up that we’ll be hanging up the tools and swapping spanners for sunshine from Friday 25th July until Monday 4th August 🌴🍹

Before we swap the tools for sunshine and for a bit of relaxation, we wanted to give everyone plenty of notice. If your vehicle needs some attention, has started making a strange noise (you know the one… the “I’ll just turn the radio up and hope it goes away” noise 😂), or you’ve been meaning to get something checked — please get booked in before we go to avoid disappointment!

So enjoy this lovely sunshine while it lasts… we’ll be trying to do the same! ☀️

Clutch pedal? ❌

This customer stopped at a petrol station... but unfortunately, the clutch had other ideas! 😅

Rather than just fixing one problem, we replaced the faulty slave cylinder and fitted a brand-new clutch while we were there. One happy customer, one healthy clutch, and one car back on the road! ✅

If your car chooses the worst possible moment to give up, give us a call and we'll bring the workshop to you. 🔧

We had a Nissan Juke in today that serves as a great reminder of why we dig deep into the data before reaching for the tool kit.
The car arrived with the engine management light on and a fault code pointing directly to the DPF Pressure Sensor. The owner had already been elsewhere and had a brand-new sensor fitted, but the light stayed on and the problem remained.
🔍 What was actually happening?
After running our own diagnostic checks, we found the sensor was actually doing its job perfectly. The real culprit? The rubber pressure pipes had perished and split.
Because the pipes were leaking, the sensor was getting a "false" reading, which triggered the code. The sensor wasn't broken—it was just reporting the bad news!
🛠️ The Result
By identifying the split pipes instead of just fitting another sensor, we were able to:
Fix the actual root cause.
Save the customer from spending more money on parts they didn't need.
Get the car back on the road running 100%.
The Moral of the Story: A fault code is just a starting point, not a shopping list! Getting a proper diagnostic check might take a little longer upfront, but it almost always saves you time and money in the long run.
Got a stubborn warning light that won't go away? Give us a shout—we’re here to help get to the bottom of it. 🚗💨
