A couple of classics moved this week. Jaguar xj40 with only 19k miles delivered to its new owner. Tipped to be one the best examples in the uk and had a recent feature in a classic Jaguar mag. The jag job then got me recommended to take this low mileage 60k Mercedes to a specialist for prep and sale. Both beautiful cars and always a pleasure to be trusted with transporting prestige and classics. Getting to drive them is an added bonus.

Just a quick update to let everyone know I’ll be back on the road operating as usual from tomorrow (Tuesday the 17th, Dec). For those that don’t know. I’ve been off the road since last Tuesday due to my engine blowing up. Since then I’ve sourced another truck and been working relentlessly converting it to a recovery truck. It’s a sad end for my yellow truck and I didn’t mean to kill it but with 352k on the clock I can’t complain. It served me well for 5 years. Thanks to all my customers that have been affected and have patiently waited for me to get back on the road. Anybody that requires my services before Christmas can I advise you to book in as soon possible. Thanks in advance.

Fridays job was taking this 4.2 xjs coupe manual in a very rare colour up north to a restoration garage in Teeside to have the underside restored for the new owner. His e-type jag was already there. I did grab the opportunity to have a little drive in it too.

Today’s job was collecting this superb Jenson Intercepter series 4 for a local classic car trader.
Not just any series 4 though. Originally came off the production line as a series 3 but was stripped back down by Jenson themselves. It was then repainted a different colour and then rebuilt with all the series 4 upgrades which included a 5.9 v8 engine, 17” alloys, electric leather reacaro seats, digital clock and many other subtle changes. The car was then thrown into the public eye at car shows to promote and sell the series 4. Makes it quite a special car I think.

I’m somewhere near Plymouth after just delivering a stunning mk2 jaguar to its new owner. There was a bit of entertainment on the M5 after someone aqua planed their Suzuki swift into the central reservation. I’ve just had my Sunday dinner at the local pub and now I’ve got the 6 hour drive home to take on.

Feels like I’ve had a day off fetching this jaguar XJS v12 manual from a classic car auction. Some amazing rare cars were there waiting to be collected. The old xr3 was cool and the Peugeot 205 gti was auctioned off on behalf of Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean).

I hope you’ve all had a fun relaxing weekend while I’ve been hard at it doing long distance. The last 3 days I’ve been out collecting from Maidstone, Huntingdon, Somerset and unfortunately Bradford. Top two cars for me from this weekend. The karman ghia which was a magazine feature in the past and still in excellent condition and a 1961 Vw beetle imported from America with its original paint, well what’s left of it. I still managed to have a blow out this weekend just a shame it was a tyre and not a night out.
