Westcoast Vw We are a Classic Volkswagen Specialist located near Perranporth, Cornwall, UK, run by enthusiasts, for enthusiasts, covering all classic Volkswagens.

Westcoast VW offers a wide range of professional services, including routine maintenance and servicing, mechanical and bodywork repairs through to full strip down and rebuilds. All work carried out at Westcoast VW is fully insured and to the very highest standard, at least matching, but often exceeding factory specification and all parts used are sourced from the best names in the industry. In addition to the extensive in house services, Westcoast VW work alongside hand picked suppliers nationally to provide accompanying services including interior trimming, engine and gearbox rebuilds. Westcoast VW also have the expertise to work on water cooled Volkswagens, including T4's, T5's Golfs and Passats using VAGCOM diagnostic equipment for fault finding and live data checks whilst road testing.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year everyone!
Thanks to all our customers and followers for supporting us, trusting us with your vehicles and projects.
A well needed break from the usual workshop duties, enjoying some time with family and friends.
We will be back to work on 5th of January, loads to get through next year, and some interesting projects to complete.

Last job before Christmas apart from the ongoing restos. Hamish was back with his patina oval for a couple of repairs and tweaks. Seriously cool looking car that he’s planning on taking to a few shows when they start up again in the new year.

After this years amazing rally to Monopoli, Italy.
Next year’s plan is to end up in Benidorm.
Leaving Cornwall Saturday 26th September and finish on Thursday 1st October.
Great route already planned. Limited team spaces available. Entries open for this trip of a lifetime.

One of the projects we have been working on. The Original Lemon Squash. We’ve had Adam’s car in the workshop a few times over the last 10 years. Initially for metalwork. He then took the car away to dry build and get the paintwork done by the same painter that originally painted it first time around.
It then came back for running gear, wiring and fitting up of hidden latches, solenoid doors and full air ride system. Away it went again and after a bit more build by Adam it returned two weeks ago for engine install , brake set up and get the car driving.
It’s heading back to Adam’s today for final tinkering and a bit of interior work and hopefully be all sorted and back driving around Cornwall next spring.
Hard to miss this one with the yellow paint and definitely a cool looking car.

Day 12 MONOPOLI OR BUST 2025
Made it to Roscoff and onto the ferry. Arrived in Plymouth and all the way back to Perranporth.
3750 miles, the last 900 not sure if the car was going to make it.
What an adventure with great destinations every day. Teams that really got into the spirit of the rally. Great people all having fun and collecting money for charitable causes.
Seen some sights.
Had so many laughs.
Drank far too much.
Absolutely broken.
Bit of recovery time and next week back to work, back to reality, and continuing planning next years crazy adventure!
Thanks to everyone involved this year and well done to all that took part.

Day 10 MONOPOLI OR BUST 2025
Sunrise in Nice. No other pictures as the car is having a few problems so most of the day spent driving and trying to keep car out of limp mode. Made it to Tours for food and sleep. Last push to Roscoff tomorrow fingers crossed the car survives.

Day8 MONOPOLI OR BUST 2025
The long drive home begins! Crossed over to the east coast to drive the Amalfi run from the Italian job Spot of lunch to help with the hangover. Then on to Pompeii for some sightseeing. Few more hours driving past Rome to get food and rest for the night.
