This is the difference between the new anti roll/sway bar linkage that we replaced on both sides. With perished anti roll bars like those pictured above it will cause excessive body roll at 30 mph plus as well as a lack of stability while driving and an instant MOT failure. The warning light for low windshield washer fluid was on in a woman’s Mini, and she was filling the tank up. However, somehow she emptied the container into the oil sump. The car started emitting blue smoke, and mechanics found this horrific scene upon opening up the engine.

Putting too much oil in a vehicle isn’t great for the engine, and windshield washer fluid is a poor lubricant. The combination of the two is even worse. It appears that even after running for just a few minutes, the oil turned to sludge. 

The stuff has completely gummed up the valve train and turned a muddy brown color. Underneath, the situation looks even worse because green slime coats the entire block.

"I went to an auto auction, and when I arrived everyone was bidding on a pristine-looking Acura TL. I figured the car looked clean, and people were raising their bids, so it had to be good. Long story short, I won the auction. After completing the paperwork and getting the title and keys I had the car towed home. But when I got in and turned the key, it wouldn't start. I opened the hood to see what I could find, and the problem was instantly clear. There was nothing under the hood – no engine, no transmission, no radiator, no battery. I contacted the auction, who explained that the car was sold as-is.

Fortunately, soon after I met a guy with the same car that had a good engine but a bad body. We transferred in the drivetrain, and the car ran great. It could have been a lot worse."
