“The tyres are fine. The car passed its MOT.”

There’s an important word missing from that sentence: when?

An MOT tells you whether your vehicle met the required standards at the time it was tested. Your tyres then go straight back to work, accumulating mileage and
potentially encountering potholes, kerbs, pressure loss, wear and damage.

A pass isn’t a promise that they’ll remain roadworthy until the next test.

Keep an eye on your tyres throughout the year and deal with changes when they happen.

Your MOT has a date on it. Tyre safety doesn’t.
