A tour based in Pailton Warwickshire took place in September 2023 organised by Peter Stevenson. Places visited included Wellesbourne Airfield, Sywell Airport, Canons Ashby and Foxton Locks and all this during a heatwave! Six cars took part, five Stanleys and one White. As usual the cars attracted a lot of attention and our boys and girls in blue even helped fill our tanks up with water at one stage.

Some good news for Drive It Day 2021.

28/03/2020

In a time where everything seems so, so bad, there are glimpses of happiness and hope. There are so many people offering to help others, help to our key workers, neighbours and even strangers. These acts of kindness aren’t being reported much so we plan to scour the world for good news stories and share them on here - feel free to raise a smile and share.
Good News Today:

A mystery man bought all the flowers in a florist before they were forced to close.
In Massachusetts, before a mandatory shut down of shops was ordered, a 'mystery man' bought all the flowers in one florist and distributed them to the town of Needham's inhabitants.

Producers behind long-running BBC medical dramas Holby City and Casualty, have announced they will be donating protective equipment from their set to NHS staff.
According to the broadcaster, personal protective equipment (PPE) from the set of the shows - which have currently suspended production - such as masks will be sent to NHS staff working on the front line.

New Zealand is now in lockdown, with people being given just two days' notice of the curfew. But that was enough time for a young couple, due to marry in April, to bring their plans forward. Lily and James Balderston ended up having a small wedding in a back garden with lots of family input. James and Lily spoke about making some fast decisions - and an all-night dressmaking session.

And finally for today’s daily dose of good news… A street in Southampton sang happy birthday to a little girl because her birthday party was cancelled.
Guided outside by her Mum, 8-year-old Sophia was greeted by her entire street stood outside their houses giving a huge rendition of 'Happy Birthday' to cheer her up.
The video has gone viral of Sophia bursting into tears when she realises what an adorable gesture her neighbours have done for her, so make sure you grab a tissue before watching.
