A few shots from last weekend’s rounds with BMWCCR at

After not racing at Silverstone for a few years, qualifying was always going to be a challenge, but we managed to secure P4 on the grid.

Race 1 started strong, making up two positions on the opening lap to move into P2. Unfortunately, a small mistake at the final corner saw me run wide into the gravel, dropping back to P3. With backmarkers ahead, it was difficult to close the gap back to the leaders, but we kept the pressure on and crossed the line in P3. Post-race, a 10-second penalty for the original race winner promoted us to P2 and another podium finish.

Race 2 was another positive start, jumping into the lead off the line. Running wide at Turn 1 allowed through into P1, and despite staying with the front runners throughout the race, we had to settle for P2 at the flag.

Overall, a really positive weekend with two podium finishes and strong pace throughout. A few small tweaks to make before the next round at Donington Park — a circuit I know well from spectating but will be driving for the first time. Plenty of work to do ahead of Round 3 of the on May 31st.

What a busy week it’s been — I’ll try to keep it short!

Last week I was at for Round 1 of the BMWCCR. It was my first time racing in over two years after work commitments took over, so it felt great to be back.

Qualifying was tough with 26 cars on track, making it hard to get a clear lap, but I managed to take pole with a 51.6.

Race 1:
Got a good start, but was right on my bumper. I left the door open into Druids and he slipped through, but a few laps later I managed to retake the lead when he ran wide into Turn 1. A safety car came out with 7 minutes to go, so the race finished under yellow — P1 and a win for Race 1.

Race 2:
Started on pole again and held the lead for a few laps, but once more Paul was right there. I left just enough space into Druids and he showed his nose up the inside, dropping me to P2. From there it was proper bumper-to-bumper racing — absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately, Paul picked up an issue and had to retire, so I took the chequered flag in P1 and set a new PB of 51.2.

Massive thank you to everyone who came out to support — it really means a lot.

Big thanks as well to for helping get the car sorted with last-minute geo and power runs, and of course for putting up with the late nights and weekends getting everything ready.

Roll on Silverstone.

A few weeks back I dusted off the crash helmet and race boots and took the car out to a very wet track day at brands, took me a few laps to get back into the swing of things again but was good to get back out in the car after all the work had done.
While I was there had there Cupra touring car doing passenger rides with .
But I was lucky enough to jump in the drivers seat with and done a few laps, it’s was amazing, I
Can’t thank enough for giving me the opportunity to drive one of there cars I’ve been watching on tv for years.
Good luck for 2026. season.

First post in a very long time, but this one needs to be shared.
Back in March I got asked if a good friend could borrow the race car. The car had been sat for a while and I have not raced due to work commitments.
So Paul Cook borrowed the car and did very well in it including outright wins and was leading the championship. Great to see him back out and on the podium regularly and car performed faultless.
Anyway this is how I got the car back when he said he’ll tidy it up when finished with it.
I’m still speechless and you can see why.

Also lost 40kg now weighs 1180kg

Massive thank you again to Paul and topgun refinishing team

The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business.
Running a business is really hard.
What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid-back people.
People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.
People will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.
You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.
Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All whilst being a parent, a provider, family support, friend, spouse...
There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5-10 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.
Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support small businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!
