Typically, this time of the year with the weather being wet and gritty and combined with the coldness, You might find Yourself washing your pride and joy alot less than you would do during the warmer months and therefore your car becomes coated in thick/heavy grime. This grime will consist of road salts and other contaminants which will cause scratches and swirl marks if you just take a bucket & sponge to the paintwork. The best way to minimise this from happening is to prewash your car first by using a citrus prewash (Bitta Zing) or a snowfoam (The Blow Out) or if it's really bad, combine the 2 products for the ultimate prewash regime!
