I learned with Driving Skills Academy in Irthlingborough and had manual lessons with Gary. When I started, I felt most nervous about bay parking. The biggest help was that relaxed and explained things well. The biggest improvement in my driving was confidence. By the end, I passed. I'd happily recommend Driving Skills Academy to friend and family. Gary's communication is great and I will be recommending.

I had manual lessons with Driving Skills Academy in Northampton with Chris. At the beginning, the thing I worried about most was everything. What helped me most was that explained things clearly and took our time when it came to completing the syllabus. I improved most with confidence on the roads. In the end, I passed first time. I'd happily recommend Driving Skills Academy to nervous learners and first time learners.

A massive congratulations to Chloe on passing her driving test in Northampton on her first attempt with just 4 driver faults 🎉🚗

This one means a lot. Chloe had to overcome her feelings and nerves on the day, but she kept herself together, trusted the work she had put in, and delivered a great drive when it mattered.

That result now takes me to 12 driving test passes in a row, so proud of my learners achievements.

Well done Chloe. Enjoy the freedom, stay safe on the roads, and make sure you give me a wave when you see me out and about 👋

📅 Swapping driving test dates is getting easier

From 1 October, two learners swapping their driving tests no longer need to be available to call DVSA at the same time.

The first learner calls DVSA to request the swap. The second learner then calls to confirm it. Both calls must be made on the same working day for DVSA to process it.

It’s a small change that should make coordinating a swap less stressful. If you’re one of our learners, please check with your instructor before agreeing to a new test date so you know they’re available to take you.

I took manual lessons in Irthlingborough with Gary at Driving Skills Academy. At the start, I was most nervous about bay parking, roundabouts. The biggest help was that practical learning, gave me confidence. I improved most with confidence, roundabouts, manoeuveres. By the end, I passed first time. I'd recommend Driving Skills Academy to family and friends. Garys been fantastic, very reliable and his lessons are enjoyable.
