Following the last post, check out this sill and quarter panel repair for Sam @ .g.c.customs on the Peugeot 205 XRA Van!

All rot removed.
Correctly cut.
Correctly prepared.
Correctly welded.

Structurally sound, ready for a quick skim and looking far better. A good quality repair is a lasting repair.

Peugeot 205 XRA Van project for Sam .g.c.customs

Once the previous repairs had been cut open, it revealed some absolute horrors. Despite the amount of weld that had been stuck on, it was in no way structurally sound. The front end and headlight panels had virtually disintegrated, so we got them all removed and ready for the next stage.

What started off as a scuff and shoot paint job rapidly grew arms and legs.
This little Peugeot 205 XRA Van was feeling pretty sorry for itself after almost a decade of sitting in yards. Time hasn't been on my side for this one, as Sam at .g.c.customs is out on a rally with it next weekend!
The photos here show (almost) the worst of the damage, and where somebody had previously had a go at fixing it.
