It is with a heavy heart I have made the difficult decision to close MAC Bodyworks.
This is not a decision I ever wanted to make. I have poured my heart and soul into this business for many years, but unforeseen circumstances mean it is the right time to move on and close this chapter. I am incredibly grateful to all of our customers who supported the business over the years and trusted us with their vehicles. Many of you have became close friends which I am forever thankful for. Your support genuinely means the world to me.
Mac Bodyworks is no longer trading from our former premises at Stoneygate Road Newmilns. However, after a short break I do hope to be back in some form in a new premises ready for a new chapter.
Thank you again to everyone who supported us throughout the years, all our customers, all the local businesses who have supported and worked with us along the way especially Newmilns motors, A.L Paints and Fast Move Removals . Most importantly a special thanks to my partner Katherine Agnew, my dad Joe McNamara and my sister Karen Ross for always going above and beyond to help build and run the business. We’d like to wish all our customers a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year when it comes.
Thank you for supporting a small local business this year. Your custom genuinely means the world to us and we appreciate every job, recommendation and message that’s come our way.
We’ll be open right up until Christmas Eve, then closing for a well-earned break before reopening on 5th January.

350Z Project Update!

Dave’s been putting a huge amount of time into the Nissan 350Z and it is finally in colour!

Dave took it right back to bare metal, then used Novol epoxy primer before blocking it by hand. After doing all the bodywork, he hand-blocked it again before the final primer to make sure everything was perfectly straight.

It’s now had a 3-stage paint job with clear coat and it’s looking incredible! Next up is flattening and polishing to bring out that deep gloss finish.

This one’s been a real labour of love and it shows in the results 👌

This stunning Audi RS4 came to us after some previous repair work hadn’t been done to the best standard. We repainted the quarter panel and rear bumper, repaired damage to the bonnet and side skirt and gave it the attention to detail it deserved.
