🚨 PSA / Vauxhall Wet Belt Warning 🚨

This is what we see far too often on PSA / Vauxhall wet belt engines… 👇

❌ Degraded timing belt
❌ Oil pick-up strainer blocked
❌ Thick sludge in the sump
❌ Starved oil system

All caused by the belt breaking down in the oil over time.

Left too long, this doesn’t just mean a belt replacement — it can mean:
👉 Turbo failure
👉 Oil pressure faults
👉 Engine damage
👉 Very expensive repairs

These photos are from a recent job where the belt had started shedding and blocking the oil system.

At Hoggmot, wet belt work isn’t “drain oil and fit a belt”.

We:
✅ Inspect the belt properly
✅ Remove and clean the sump
✅ Clean/replace the oil pick-up
✅ Flush contamination
✅ Refill with correct-spec oil
✅ Reset service data
