This year, the BMW Group Academy UK & Ireland celebrates two decades of developing people, skills and careers across the BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad Retailer Network. From apprentices starting their journey to Master Technicians reaching new milestones, the Academy continues to invest in the people behind premium mobility. 🚗⚡🏍️

Since opening in 2006, the Academy has delivered more than 150,000 courses and over 370,000 face-to-face training days — helping retailer teams stay ahead in a rapidly evolving automotive world.

As Tracy McGarva, General Manager of the BMW Group Academy UK & Ireland, said:

A massive milestone for the BMW Group Academy UK and our network talent! 🏆

Huge congratulations to our very first cohort to complete the brand-new Senior Service Advisor Training program. Launched this year, this intensive three-module course was designed specifically to recognise and elevate developing talent across our network.

Over the past few months, these individuals have put in immense effort, mastering:

✅Day-to-day operational excellence.
✅EV expertise & luxury customer management.
✅The transition to leadership.

We are incredibly proud of their dedication. This program is all about providing a clear pathway for career enhancement, and we have no doubt these graduates will bring these high-level skills straight back to their businesses to drive success.

🏆 This time last week we were celebrating excellence at our annual Awards Day event, recognising the achievements of our graduating BMW Group Apprentices and newly qualified BMW Master Technicians.

🏆 BMW Group Academy UK Awards 2026! 🏆

This week, the BMW Group Academy UK hosted its annual Awards, showcasing and celebrating the incredible achievements of our Retailer network’s 144 graduating Apprentices and 6 newly qualified Master Technicians.

The morning sessions kicked off with a lineup of exciting activities, where attendees had the opportunity to test their racing skills on F1 simulators, witness a thrilling motocross stunt show, take on the F1 pit stop challenge, build and race their own LEGO car, experience innovative VR welding training tools, and explore a showcase of our striking BMW, MINI, Motorrad, and Rolls-Royce products – including the all-new BMW iX3 and a BMW M4 signed by all of our guests! 🚗

In the afternoon, the celebrations continued at the De Vere hotel with lunch and an awards ceremony recognising the outstanding achievements of our Apprentices and Master Technicians. Each graduate was welcomed to the stage to receive their well-deserved certificates and trophies from BMW UK CEO, David George, and BMW UK Customer Support Director, Werner Pagenstert. We were also delighted to welcome special guest speaker, Kerry Bennett, who delivered an inspiring speech about her incredible journey to date, including her experience taking part in the Channel 4 TV show ‘Have You Got What It Takes? – Astronauts’. 👩🏼‍🚀

Thank you to everyone who attended across the two days. We wish all our graduating Apprentices and newly qualified Master Technicians the very best for the future, and we look forward to seeing what you accomplish next. 📈
