Lovely customer looking after me whilst installing front and rear parking sensors on their car ….. they had car for 16yrs and always meant to get the sensors fitted 😀

After a full on install day in the hot sun (though it supposed to be cooler today again ? ) ….. taking some time to diagnose / fault find a fault in my mini convertible door ……..

Our cats loving the warm black cloth roof and climbed up to keep an eye out !

First day back and nice busy day

Rounding the evening off with some homework - have a vw eos metal top convertible with the usual roof not working - the pumps in boot seize due to lack up of use and damp trapped in the surrounding mounting foam normally the problem

Anyhows bought a supposedly working hydraulic roof pump and motor but surprisingly it was seized solid

Bit of a long long soak with wd40 , lots and tedious tapping and working the spindle managed to free motor up and run up off a drill battery !

Will give few test runs but should be good to fit in car and hopefully get roof working again

New pump is around £900 (cannot buy motor on own ) - secondhand was £100 and refunded as was seized and useless , so maybe a result for the hard work ?

Holidays long gone and back on it Actually cool in the shade with the breeze today …. A refreshing change for sure to 35...
