All I know is the stig had a flying Astra back in 2005 ….

Door control modules

Everything nowadays is computer controlled - so in each car door you have a door control module that is on the cars canbus (computer controlled network )

The door modules operate the central locking electric Windows , electric door mirrors etc

The one in this front oassenger door of a Ford focus had failed breaking comms to rear door and meaning nothing on passenger side doors would lock unlock or windows open etc

Luckily an exact second hand module was available and didn’t need coding (programming to specific car ) so relatively quick easy wnd cheap fix for the customer

Weekend work

02 / lamba sensors - what are the chances 2 to change today one upstream one downstream both have their challenges for access and removal - but soak with wd40 or pe*******on oil and if still stuck solid run the engine to heat the exhaust as the heat helps loosen them off ! Then you just need to wait for exhaust etc to cool to remove and replace else you will get burnt ! #02
