Picked this one up from the lads at TT Mechanica today — big respect to Tom & Bif for actually sorting the car when nobody else would.Customer broke down on Handforth Bypass… loud bang, warning lights all over. Got it recovered, diagnosed with a failed turbo bearing. Tried going through the warranty (part of a finance deal) — but of course, it was that classic line: “wear and tear.”Dealer blamed the warranty. Warranty blamed the dealer.No payout. No help. Customer paid out of pocket.Turbo fixed — but it was too late. Got a call from my mate Georgy @ Recovery Breakdown Manchester – lad’s Golf GTI was stuck on a drive in a right awkward spot. Georgy was too busy so passed it my way 🙌 big shout Mr George. I pulled it straight out the garden, loaded it up, and dropped it at VW Oldham. Customer needed a new key… and VW hit him for £800 for ONE key 😳🔑💸. Madness, innit? At least he’s buzzing to be back in his GTI soon, but that’s one mistake you don’t wanna repeat. Lesson here: look after your keys, they’re basically gold dust these days! 💰🚗 Hashtags for reach:

💪Started off the day with a slow one – literally. Flat as a pancake. But it’s Trafford Car Recovery, lad – not Trafford Can’t Be Arsed! 💥🚛🔧 First stop: Rochdale to drop off a motor. Nice and easy. Then shot over to Heald Green MOT to grab a Toyota Corolla that was off to Reddish for some well-needed welding (that thing’s seen more rust than a 90s Fiesta). ⚙️🔥Next up – was told it was a 2016 Fiesta… pulled up and it was a 2010 hanging on for dear life 😩🤣. Cheers for that one.📍Denton ➡️ Stretford to park it up ➡️ then bang – off to Chorlton to grab an A35 AMG (posh motor, this one) that wouldn’t start. Turns out it had a case of the dead ignition syndrome 😬🔑Wrapped up the day in true Manc fashion – city centre collection: a Transit van with the classic wetbelt issue (Ford, lad… sort it out). Took that over to Ardwick to get sorted and finally home for me tea 😮‍💨From Rochdale to Reddish, Denton to Deansgate – I’m the man for the job.
