We are seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mot tester preferred ( but not essential )

Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at our busy workshops in Malvern. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standard. If you have a passion for cars and possess strong technical skills, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, to include timing belts, clutches, brakes and suspension repairs.
Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions with our modern selection of diagnostic equipment and recommend appropriate repairs
Inspect vehicles to identify potential issues and prevent future breakdowns
Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs
Keep accurate records of work performed and parts used
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role
NVQ level 3 and at least 5 years experience
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and components
Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Time management skills
Customer service orientation

This highlights the importance of having your vehicle serviced on schedule AND using the correct grade of QUALITY engine oil.

Some vehicles have what is known as a “wet belt”. Which is basically a timing belt (aka cam belt) which is enclosed into the engine casing. This then means that the belt is running within the engine oil.

Not servicing within the manufacturer’s specifications and not using the correct grade of quality oil WILL shorten the life span of the wet belt and could cause serious damage to your engine and your bank balance!!

Automatic gearboxes….

There is a misconception that gearboxes do not need servicing. However, they do!!
Below is a filter removed from a Ford Poweshift gearbox that we carried out a Megaflush on yesterday.

Following a full flush and new filter the gearbox will change gear more smoothly and take up with less drag

Sorry if anybody was caught up in the rush hour traffic as we were recovering this Nissan Micra following it leaving the road and ending up in a bit of a pickle. Team RSM handled it with relative ease due to their years of experience 💪🏻💪🏻
