Rally Ceredigion 24 Update

So the sun shined and the prospects of a great finish for both cars 🚙 looked promising after both cars had undergone rigorous prep in the last couple of weeks.

After a delayed start yesterday evening in Aberystwyth and both cars having to go out with lamp pods, both drivers found the narrow streets lined with locals tricky to say the least. The narrow stages had new chicanes put in after the drivers recce which unfortunately caught out one of the cars and had to retire the car at the end of the stage.
Being an international rally it meant the service crew weren’t allowed to tackle a repair overnight which certainly dampened the atmosphere to say the least!!

This morning we had our service crew ready and waiting for the White Evo9 to go out to tackle a long day of rallying but unfortunately the crew decided to retire the car due to a recurring injury of the driver.

Not the result the crews and team at Modern Classics Lytham hoped for but both cars will be ready to go again soon for the next event.. 🏆

Congratulations 🍾🥂🍾to father and son team Tony and Cristian Davies who both finished a tough and technical Rally Argyll 2024 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 with respectable results and no damage to their respective cars. After a tough first night in the dark both posted respectable times and led into a full day on Saturday with both drivers pushing hard and having ‘moments’ in the afternoon. Roll on the next event 🏆
