Coming down from the highs from the javelin sprint series at Cadwell Park yesterday! I was one of four drivers at the start, but some had to change classes because of a turbo, which was a miss undderstandment of regulations. Regardless, I embraced the challenge!

The other three drivers had fast times clocked at 1:54.378, but I pulled ahead with a personal best of 1:52.270 on my first run, and then improved to 1:51.564 on my fourth run.

Adding a new rear wing really helped and using old R888 may have hindered a little, but I beat my previous personal best of 1:58.4.

Also getting tired I cracked open a lovely cold Energy LTD (not sponsored but I mean if ya listening 😉 ).

I've got a few updates planned before Blyton in a couple of weeks, but for now, I'm thrilled with the class win and another 25 points for my championship!
Let's see how we do next time! 🚗💨

We also joined with another driver Craig in his mini who ended up taking 1st in his class also by 1.7 seconds from second!

Right so here is how croft R2 went

So long to short (never gonna happen) the car performed pretty well however another other guy in my class was just built different!

My fastest time of the day was a 1.50.86 on my final run which to be honest wasn't bad for someone that has NEVER driven Croft.

My opponent didnt just win he DOMINATED with a 1.36.97!

My time gave me 67th out of a 75 overall which just to add would have gave me 2nd in the group above me and 1st 2 groups above me.

My opponent finished 21st overall which would have taken him to the win a MASSIVE 7 groups higher than me.

NOW I'm looking forward at what could happen in R3 at cadwell and my hopes are not that optimistic but I will guarantee im going faster and harder than I have ever done because I want to keep that top spot in my class firmly where it is (as mine).

Some people will see this as a whine but it puts this type of racing into context for you on what can happen.

My c2 is stripped out with coilovers semi slicks granted its caged and also has a decat but other than that standard engine standard road car.

My opponents civic was FULL race spec and with aero.

So do I feel I did bad ? HELL NO I DIDNT DO BAD its just what happens 🤷 regulations meant we was paired in the group together thats what the regs say SIMPLE.

Was I ever going to win class ? NOT A HOPE IN HELL (UNLESS HE BLEW UP RUN1 OF THE DAY).

How do I feel ? Well its bittersweet it honestly is because I ran the best I ever have and it wasn't going to compare but it is how racing goes my heads high at the fact I even made it to where i am and more opportunities will happen.

What Will the changes to my car be for next round? Well nothings set into stone as of Yet but the c2 needs brakes new coilovers and the exhaust changing 100% for next event other stuff will happen as it happens.

So here is how my sunday went 6 runs completed and my fastest lap was right after the rain had started to dry up.

Round one of the javelin sprint series me pick up a trophy for my class and gain more seat time in the c2.

Next up for me is round 2 at croft which i was gonna miss but its an opportunity to improve my experience in the c2 so here we come.
