A late-night dip!

I went to fill the day tank with diesel. I took the padlock off the cabin door and I thought that I was putting them down on the cabin top! But oh no...
..they went clunk, splash!

My back cabin keys and padlock went in the cut!

The damp air went blue!

I shown my torch into the canal and I could just see the brass colour of the padlock in the murky depths of the Grand Union!

I was lucky just a few days ago, but not tonight. Sea Searcher to the rescue and on the second attempt ferrous was found four feet down, and slowly slowly up they came!

The magnetic connection was precarious, just holding the very tip of one of the keys!

RELIEF!

In my youth I used to be an international film star!

Here I am in a starring role in the 1973 box office hit British film "Zoo Robbery" playing the baddie who stole a Yeti from London Zoo! My co-star was Nb Coalboat Alton, who played the goodie called Nb Dragonfly!
