One of the finest Mustangs we have ever been involved in is the 1968 Ford Mustang with a modern twist. This example has undergone an extensive thousand-hour restoration leaving no stone unturned. Finished in Magnetic Grey, the immaculate bodywork flows perfectly and aligns natural curves and lines harmoniously. With the full benefits of a modern supercar, this example is fitted with a 5.0L Coyote engine producing 435Hp and 400lb-ft, along with modernised transmission. Technical upgrades don’t end there, with an extensive list of parts and features from power steering to upgraded brakes that will stop on a sixpence.

Inside, the vehicle features Bentley Beluga leather, Sport Seats, modern displays and built-in speakers, resembling a modern supercar rather than its 1968 origins. The first of its kind: a supercharged Mach 1, exclusively available from Sutton Mustang. The 767 Edition Mach 1 by Sutton Mustang harnesses our stage 2 orange Whipple supercharger and includes further enhancements such as suspension and exhaust upgrades. Its Ford Performance Mach 1 Kit consists of a Racing Rear Spoiler, Aero Front Splitter, Front wheel lip moulding, and a very special set of 19” Mach 1 wheels.

Uniquely tuned & calibrated for performance, the Mach 1 aims to bridge the gap between the Mustang GT and the Shelby GT350 by utilising a host of features from the Shelby catalogue. Its 5.0L V8 engine and track-focused chassis set-up delivers a truly phenomenal driving experience, and that's before the Sutton Mustang upgrades.

The Mach 1 also benefits from excellent MagneRide dampers, track-oriented Recaro sport seats to ensure you are comfortably glued to the seats, and a rev-matching 6-speed manual gearbox which is all the more fun in a car of this calibre. Salon Privé Concours d’Elégance, now in its 16th year, has become a fixture in the UK motoring calendar and has established itself as the most exclusive concours d’elegance in the UK, welcoming more than 100 of the rarest and most desirable cars in the world.

Clive Sutton has launched its CS850GT Mustang – a comprehensive reworking of Ford’s latest 5.0-litre V8 muscle car. Sutton’s right-hand drive car’s power has been boosted to 847hp (859PS) – making it the UK’s most powerful new Mustang – almost double the 454hp (460PS) of the stock Ford Mustang.

Visually the new Sutton offering also raises the game. A completely reworked front end brings UK buyers a GT500-style appearance complemented by a new bumper lip, carbon fibre side rockers, and a carbon fibre rear valance that houses the quad exhausts. New colour-adjustable tri-bar headlights, plus LED side and rear lights complete the new look while enhancing visibility.

Clive Sutton, said, “Our customers demand the highest level of performance, handing and quality and I’m confident that the new CS850GT will exceed their expectations in every area. Our bespoke Mustang creation tops even the most powerful stock offering in the US, including the Shelby GT500, guaranteeing owners exclusivity and unparalleled Mustang enjoyment.”

The new CS850GT is priced from £115,000 on-the road with a number of additional options available to personalise the car further and enhance its performance. For example, track-focused owners may opt for the Sutton carbon track spoiler while those owners seeking the most distinctive style may opt to customise the interior colours to further individualise the car.

Clive Sutton has been one of the largest importers of Ford Mustangs and Shelby Mustangs for more than 15 years. Since 2016, Sutton Bespoke has operated a specialist Mustang division with CS700 and CS800 versions of the iconic muscle car preceding today’s CS850GT.
