Dominik Vesenjak from Croatia going even quicker in his 2.5L 5cyl powered Mk7.5 Golf R. Getting down to an 8.47 at 167mph at the Drag Elite Europe event. As far as I know this is the 2nd quickest Golf R in the World. The quickest being the Galano Engineering 2.0L EA888 Mk7 Golf R, which has run an 8.26 @ 169mph.

IS THERE A CRAZIER DRAG CAR THAN THIS 🤷🤷

The DOP Motorsport twin R36 powered VW Lupo, with each engine having a compound turbo setup, and capable of 1800hp each...

Silviu Bogdan Ghita added some crazy aero to his car and ran mid 7 second passes all Weekend, and got down to a new PB of 7.34 at 203mph 💪💪💪

Will we see a 6 second pass in 2027 🤞🤞

QUESTION - What is the RWD Small Tyre 1/4 Mile Record in Europe??

Whilst out in Romania for the Drag Elite Europe event, I filmed an LS powered 98 Mustang driven by Bosko Tanackovic (Team - Bole_BB), they asked me the question above, after going on to run a 8.06 at 178mph.

Its not the type of racing in Europe I get involved in. Is there a class at Santa Pod at some events for this? Do any RWD sports compact cars and doors cars have this size tyre?

My understanding on small tyre is -

• If you run Slicks, the class is restricted by Height (the standard 28x10.5 non-W).

• If you run Radials, the class is restricted by Width (the 275/60R15) [X275].

So is there such a record in Europe?

Esad Dosljak from Serbia showed the High's and Low's of Drag Racing at the Drag Elite Europe event. After a running a PB in his 2.5L powered Audi RS4, and getting into the 7's after 10 year's of trying, a broken axle put him into the barrier during the final of the AWD class. As far as we know the only damage was to one rim, and some bodywork. The chassis and engine are fine.

We have a longer video coming soon on YouTube, as we followed Esad's progress throughout the event.

We look forward to seeing him back out in April at Arad, and looking to go even quicker.

YOU ONLY NEED 4 CYLINDERS, say the GG Motorsport team, in there 1.8 20V Audi S3. Rebuilt to just under 2.0L, and getting down to a 7.20 at 198mph at the Drag Elite Europe event 💪💪
