Lovely to see our old Ferrari 488 back to investigate non starting issues.
Sadly once again as suspected foul play was at large here. Client reported no ignition whatsoever, so first questions were has he changed batteries in his keys, and if yes had he changed the car battery. The answer to both was yes, infact a very well known Technician had visited the car to replace the batteries and since being unable to get ignition he advised to have car delivered to his workshop for further investigation which would have potentially led to a very big bill! So we went to West London to take a look and indeed we too couldnโt get any ignition so we got the car ready in a state to be recovered, by disengaging the handbrake manually, putting it into nuetral and manually lifting the suspension up on its airbags. Once car was delivered we got to work, turned out the technician pulled a pin out of one of the plugs deliberately, tucked another main cable away behind the battery and in fact went that extra mile to lift the centre console unit up to unplug the key reader under it, this would have disabled the car from recognising the key. Itโs mad how dishonest some of these guys are out here, integrity seems to be a thing of the past these days. Nonetheless the cars all good now with not much needing to be done at all except plug a few plugs back in lol.
