Mission Statement:
The British Firefighters Motorcycle Club is a group of motorcycle riding fire and rescue service staff and retired
members residing in the United Kingdom. The club was formed to honour the memory of the 343 firefighters that lost their lives in New York City on 11th September 2001 and all other fire and rescue service staff that have given their lives in the line of duty during both peace and war times. Objectives
• Provide a social environment for fire & rescue motorcyclists
• Promote a positive image of motorcyclists
• Promote a positive image of the Fire & Rescue Service
• Promote safe riding practices among motorcyclists
• Support our chosen charities
Terms
The names "British Firefighters Motorcycle Club" and “BFFMC” are Copyrighted logos
The term “Governing Chapter” refers to the founding chapter, Hertfordshire
The term "Chapter" refers to the minimum of 5 national members with approved charter chapter status. Club Officers

Officers must be current members
The President will select and appoint new Officers prior to the conclusion of their term of office
The President shall nominate and appoint his successor prior to the end of his term of office
The President may co-opt another member and assign that person to cover a temporary post or for the engagement of short term specialist duties
Membership
All members must be, of have been, employed by a Fire & Rescue Service
All members must reside in the UK
All members must have a genuine keen interest in motorcycling
All members must fully support the BFFMC mission statement and objectives
The National President may appoint honorary membership upon any member or non-member in recognition of meritorious service to the Club, to motorcycling or to the Fire & Rescue Service. Should any member be considered by the President to have acted in a manner prejudicial to the interests of the Club or likely to bring the Club into disrepute, the member shall attend a meeting with the President and residing Officers. In all cases under this paragraph, the President shall consider all relevant factors and information before arriving at his decision with regard to continued membership
Should the member fail to attend such a meeting the President will withdraw membership of the member from the Club without further notice
Subscriptions
The Club membership year runs from 1 April until 31 March. Any member who has not paid their subscriptions by the end of May for that year will be deemed to have let their membership lapse. Should they wish to rejoin the Club from 1 June onwards they will be required to pay a re-joining fee. Any member who gives notice to leave before the end of the subscription year will not be refunded any portion of their membership fees. Chapters
Chapter status must be by approval of the Governing Chapter
Members seeking to start a chapter must submit the following to the National President:
• The proposed chapter name
• The names of those members wishing to form the chapter (minimum 5)
• The names of the proposed chapter officers
• A pledge to fully support the BFFMC mission statement and objectives
• The proposed chapter charter
• The chapter’s year 1 pledge for the club charity
Donations to Charities
The Club shall name a charity or charities at the beginning of each year to receive club support and all monies raised on rides and other events
