When a Bargain Isn’t a Bargain… 🚗

This week, I’ve had two customers come to me after buying cars they thought were great deals—despite originally asking for our help at emotivecarsourcing
Both vehicles were priced below market value, and unfortunately, there was a reason for that.

After thorough checks, we discovered both cars had been sold at salvage auctions. One customer even paid cash without receiving an invoice—from someone claiming to be a dealer!

Here’s the lesson: if a car seems too cheap, there’s almost always a catch.

We’re now helping these customers by advising them to invest in a detailed inspection and a new MOT to ensure their vehicles are safe for their families. But this could have been avoided with the right advice upfront. Not only is safety a concern, but the long-term value of these cars will be affected when it’s time to sell.

The takeaway?
If you, your friends, or family are considering buying a car, don’t let a “bargain” blind you to the risks. At emotivecarsourcing we’re always happy to provide guidance and advice. Sometimes, spending a little more upfront can save you a lot of stress—and money—later on.
