Couple Of Advisories When Carrying Out The Service.
Bad Oil Leak From Camshaft Cover.
Advised The Customer Because Of The Age Of The Vehicle And The Cover Being Plastic To Get A Replacement Cover.
Removed Top Part Of The Engine Harness.
Removed Coils.
Removed Old Cam Cover.
Found Excessive Play In The Timing Chain Advised Customer That He Needs To Get The Timing Chain Replaced.
Cleaned Off Oil.
Fitted New Cam Cover.
Refitted Coils And Engine Harness.

Started Car Checked For Oil Leaks After Repair No Oil Leaks Present.

Customer Contacted Us Asking To Help Fix His Car He Has Been To Multiple Garages And They Could Fix The Issue.

Customer Complained Engine Warning Light And Lack Of Power.
Carried Out Diagnostic Test.
Multiple Fault Codes In Engine.
Nox Sensor 1 And Turbo Boost Pressure.
Nox Sensor Is On Order.
Turbo Boost Pressure Fault Is Very Common On Mercedes 654 And 656 Engines.
Checked Vacuum System For Engine.
Oil And Coolant In The Vacuum System.
Replaced All Vacuum Pipes.
Replaced Waterpump.
Replaced Vacuum Chamber.
Replaced Front EGR Cooler.
Replaced Both Switchover Valves.
Replaced Both Transducers.
Sucked Out Oil From Brake Servo.
Vacuum Chamber Was Full Of Oil.

Cleared Fault Codes.
Vehicle Now Has No Lack Of Power.
Customer Is Very Happy As This Has Been A Ongoing Issue For Months Now.

Noticed Bad Oil Leak From Cam Cover.
Replaced Cam Cover Seals And Bolts.
Replaced Injector Seals And Bolts.

Oil Has Contaminated Coolant Pipes For Gearbox Cooler.

Rebooked Customer To Get Nox Sensor And Coolant Pipes Replaced.

Our Regular Customer Contacted Us Regarding A Coolant Leak And Lack Of Power.
Vehicle Was Recovered To Us.
Carried Out Investigation Into Coolant Leak.
Found Coolant Pipe Was Broken.
Also Found Coolant Connection Fitting Was Leaking.
Replaced Both Coolant Connection Fitting And Return Coolant Hose From The Coolant Bottle.
Investigated Lack Of Power.
Carried Out Diagnostic Report.
Carried Out Smoke Test.
Found EGR And Bypass Flap Leaking.
Replaced EGR Valve, Bypass Flap, EGR Cooler.
Carried Out Regeneration On The DPF.
Vehicle Is Driving All Ok.
No Faults.

Jump Started Car.
Checked To See If The Vehicle Was Charging.
Vehicle Was Reading 10.8volts.
Alternator Wasn’t Charging.
Customer Requested That We Remove The Alternator And He Will Get It Reconditioned.
Removed Engine Covers.
Removed Front Support Brace.
Removed Fan.
Removed Throttle Valve And Inlet Manifold Elbow.
Removed Auxiliary Belt.
Removed Alternator.
Customer Went And Got The Alternator Rebuilt.
Refitted Alternator.
Refitted Auxiliary Belt.
Refitted Throttle Valve And Elbow.
Refitted Fan Unit.
Refitted Covers.
Started Vehicle.
Checked To See If The Vehicle Was Charging.
Vehicle Is Now Charging At 13.8volts.
Cleared Fault Codes.
