It was a mad Saturday. We had a full house with the Maico, Kawasaki 650 and the GSM Monard. By the end of the day, only one bike was still standing.

We didn't have much luck with the Monard, and the Kawasaki had issues on the very first lap. It all felt like a repeat of last year, where we went through three bikes and got nowhere.

But the Maico was class! That bike got us over the line and brought home the points we needed to win the 250cc championship! 💪🏆

Chris and Ken worked so hard on the Maico, and they deserved this win more than anyone.

It was a mad, mad, mad day, but it was all so worth it in the end.

Now it's time for a well-earned break before we're back at it again.

A positive way to end the weekend. We crossed the line in P29 and, most importantly, completed the race with no engine issues. 💪

After qualifying with a 1:35.564, we managed to bring our pace down to a 1:34.392 in the race, putting us very close to our lap times from last October. Considering the journey we've been on to get the bike back where it belongs, we're absolutely chuffed with that.

With just 4 points separating us from the championship on the Maico, our focus now shifts to Aintree. That means you won't be seeing us at Oulton Park, but we'll be giving it everything we've got in the hunt for the title.

After that, it's time for a well-earned trip to Italy 🇮🇹 to spend some time with family and enjoy a few days by the seaside before the next racing adventure begins.

Qualifying ✔️

P35 on the grid for tomorrow's race. Just over a second away from last year's pace, which considering the engine issues we've been battling and the lack of laps, is a result we're happy to take.

The bike is in a good place and we're all set for race day tomorrow 👊co.uk

Day one at Brands Hatch complete ✅

Two solid practice sessions in the books and we're happy with where the bike is heading. The weather has been on our side and, most importantly, the Kawasaki has been running well all day.

There's still work to do, but we're heading into tomorrow feeling positive and ready for qualifying.

What a day at Aintree!

After qualifying 3rd on the grid, we got a great start and crossed the line in 1st place... only to realise we'd forgotten to fit the transponder! 🤦‍♂️ A proper rookie mistake—after all these years of racing, we really should know better!

That meant starting from the back of the grid for Race 2. This time, with the transponder fitted 😅, we fought our way through the field to finish 7th in just five laps.

It was a scorching hot day, but we're leaving with plenty of positives. The bike feels strong, everything is working as it should, and we're all set for Brands Hatch next weekend.

We're back at Aintree today with the Maico for a full day of racing, while the BSB Kawasaki is also out for a much-needed shakedown ahead of the next round.

A great race and another enjoyable outing on the Maico.

Two races and two wins in the up to 250cc class made for a very successful day at Aintree.

The weather was certainly better than at the last round, although the wind still took a bit of fighting throughout the races.

As always, a huge thank you to Chris and Ken for all their hard work behind the scenes and the chance to race this fantastic bike.

Race 2 completed successfully after working through a few teething issues with Jack's prototype earlier in the day.

It was great to get some solid laps in on this Monard BSA 350cc.

A huge thank you to Jack for the opportunity to ride such a special classic machine.
