We’ve pulled this back out of summer hibernation ready to put some more time into completing it this winter ready for next season 👍

1995 Cagiva mito evolution with a Yamaha RD350 ypvs engine fitted

Sitting in the chassis with a Dave Jarvis billet made engine mount kit

Engine fully rebuilt using genuine Yamaha bearings and clutch assembly using banshee crank produced by HOT RODS
Full titanium nut and bolt set inc crank case stud kit all for strength and lightness

Full barrel rebore and pistons to match on these MICK ABBEY tuned barrels

We went for a billet powervalve setup on this as left bank needed to be replaced due to ring failure so best time to upgrade to the bigger powervalve setup for more flow
With a custom adapted Ducati 748 alloy radiator flipped around for clearnce of engine barrels and it will have a set of custom Roose motorsport silicone hoses to match 👍

Also With a set of bespoke made stainless spannys and tyga Kevlar cans it’s certainly going to sing a ting ting 🏍️💨💨

The front end is a complete Ducati ST4 assembly retro fitted to the original Cagiva yokes so we can keep the use of the steering damper and have the stopping power with the twin brembo calipers with the brembo snowflake discs

We had a custom rear subframe made up to replace the 7.5kg steal original subframe with parts and fitting no longer needed now weighing 1.6kg fitted with a aprilia RS250 2t tank under the rear seat hump..

We have cut out anything that is no longer used or needed to save on weight even down to removing most of the head light bucket and just running one headlight so we can still be seen out on the road 👍

Bike will be running off a zeeltronic ecu setup

So much to this build to list and has taken a few years so far to build to such a high spec parts wise internally and externally really looking forward to getting this personal build finished and on the tarmac

Most of the Panels are now made in yellow Kevlar with the fairing kit being fibreglass due to cost of original plastics I didn’t want to cut up a good set

We’ve recently had the pleasure of transforming the rear cabin of this VW T5.1
From a ex surf bus to a modern sleek day van perfect for days away or a social event or just nice for work related activities

The Customer supplied the seating,flooring and all the necessary mounting plates for quick release seating and the seat belt mounts all original VW parts used to make for a proper job done!

Also complementing the fit out he wanted some charging ports fitting in the rear for the passengers to be able to charge up the electronics if needed or if just chilling out in the rear at a beach one Day 👍
We also fitted a Leisure battery and a split charge system to keep it pretty much maintaince free charging

Rear sliding windows were fitted to give the rear cabin plenty of light and and air and gives the external side of van a much nicer look 👍
All metals cut were primed and sealed prior to fitting the seals and then binding the windows into place

He went with some suttel flush fitting rear led lights working off the leisure system via its own switch on the door pillar for convenience when getting in and out or loading the van up

We went for a nice swade look roof lining to brake up the all anthracite carpet in the van and to complement the black flooring fitted 👍

New side step and rear loading trims were fitted to replace the worn old tires looking ones

Carpeted thru out rear of cabin all doors and panels and anywhere that’s was to be seen

The insulation was left from previous owners we didn’t add any more as isn’t a full blown sleep in van arrangement

This was done to customer requirements and budget all in mind to give the best outcome possible with the funds and time constraints 👍

After the good obligatory wash and polish the van was ready to head home and his them road trips..

What a transformation to the rear end it looks like a different van!!

We Didn’t have the correct fitment for the head stock stand for a kawazaki zx6r

So in true DRS fashion out of a old bent Ducati handlebar we made one 🫡

The little hobby lathe is such a good tool to have about for such jobs, saving time and money, making spacers,washers, oddments to help the job at hand

we will be upgrading the machine shortly to be able to make much more and finer quality bespoke parts..

We had abit of a CAGIVA day yesterday one bike in for engine removal for a full engine rebuild strip down and cases restoration and another in for a health check and timing setting up on the ignition side 👍
This one being the engine health check and set ignition timing using correct tools

Some advisory’s for the customer on bottom end float up and down in and out so very possible main bearings on there way to knocking on his door in the near future🤞
We found a number of oddments along the way aswell as a the coolant drain bolt threads gone which is very common fault with people over tightening and using incorrect or no washer atall is 50/50 either there stripped or snapped in there quite rare to come across one that’s neither,
Couple o rings missing from places as with all these bikes owned in there day by 17 year olds 👍 they all need going over and years of abuse rectifing like a can of worms these things…

Engine is now back with the owner so he can start the refitting of the engine him self and get it run in after he has rebuilt it himself 🫡

We recently had a quick job in for a returning customer with his Honda nc700x

In for a pre MOT check and a MOT done as was in top shape and some new shoes fitted and replacement of the front pads and a caliper service/fluid change whilst we was there 🫡

Customer supplied the parts so was just a labour job

Rolling Chassis now back with the owner so he can start the restoration of the chassis him self 🫡

We think possibly this 7 speed engine was once used as a boat anchor..

Owner of the van transports motorbikes about so looks much nicer for transporting the steeds about, can you guess by the colour which brand of bikes?

Having a late evening with both ramps busy after having a few days spinal down time 🩻🫡

The Engine is back in the mito after a comprehensive full engine rebuild 🏍️💨💨 awaits a woodruff key to arrive to get a tune out of it so cases on next and fill with coolant and reinstate the 2T oil pump..

The castrol Honda fireblade for the forks to be removed for seals and oil to be replaced in next couple days after a failed fork seal and then it’s original job it came in for a coolant drain and flush a refill with silkolene MAG cool coolant as requested by customer 👍

Afternoon 🫡

We recently had a call on a Sunday afternoon to help a lad out who was close by to unit who’s slack chain had jumped off its rear sprocket and wrapped it self around the front and jammed up on the road side so we went out to help out and arrived with the customer and chap called ash swain had stopped to get the lad back on the road with his kitted out tool van 👍

So from there we limped it to the unit and took the bike on to replace the chain and ninja star sprockets for him with some JT sprockets and chain set budget allowing,

Bike was back with customer asap and Now back on the road happy for another few 1000s of miles 🫡

Unfortunately we didn’t have time for obligatory bath they all have while in our care but it was a drop job and he needed back asap so that’s what we did 👍
