Super one Whilton Mill
Mixed day Friday in practice Ollie still had the issue of loosing power and struggled with to much grip. Charlie found it. Tough track for his first time there eve.

Sat qualified 17th out of 34
Heat 1 - started 17th finished 15th
Heat 2 - started 17th finished 15th
Final - finished 17th OTR but was given a 5 place penalty to 21st but top rookie

Sun qualified 23rd
Heat 1 started 23rd finished 20th
Heat 2 started 23rd finished 20th
Final - Finished 13th

Charlie
Qualified 17th
Heat 1 started 17th finished 10th
Heat 2 started 17th finished 16th
Final - Started 14th into the first corner and hit a kart that spun and broke his track rod end clean in half ruined his race and bent all his kart

Sunday
Qualified 8th
Heat 1 started 8th finished 9th
Heat 2 started 8th finished 4th
Final started 6th finished 7th on track was under Battenberg until the last lap but got a 5 place penalty so finished 11th

A weekend of ups and downs but boys showed some great pace and got some decent results we were happy with that as was running as privateers in a big championship. Massive thanks to Karina, Rob and Iain for letting us use their bay
Steve Thompson for his advice and help, he knows Ollie well and his help was in valuable

Fulbeck Sprint
After an awful Super one at Fulbeck for Ollie with engine issues, we were hoping after a full rebuild we would be putting the gremlins from the last round of Fulbeck and Superone behind us. Strong quali from Ollie was just 0.03 of pole we were hoping for a positive day.
Heat 1 - 2nd
Heat 2 - 3rd
Final- The issues that we thought were sorted came back, at first we thought spark plug, but after a day testing last Thursday the issues were still there which is really frustrating and disappointing. Ollie finished 8th in the final. He did collect his 2nd trophy from the month before.
Charlie had an absolute great day and qualified 1st, the took 1st all day and with a nearly 9 second win in the final he smashed he.
We’re heading into to Superone at Whilton this weekend, and will be running as privateers. This karting is one expensive sport 🙈

Super one rounds 3&4 GYG
Both boys had never been here before so with just 6 sessions on the Friday to get to grips with a technical track was a big ask!
Friday testing - both boys missed a session so wasn’t feeling overly confident going into race day Saturday

Ollie Qualified 19th out of 34
Heat 1 - Started 19th finished 15th
Heat 2 - Started 19th finished 13th
Final 1 Started 14th finished 13th and top Rookie - Good day, good pace and feeling confident

Charlie qualified 13th out of 15
Heat 1 - Started 13th finished 13th
Heat 2 - Started 13th finished 11th
Final - Started 12th finished 9th
Frustrating day for Charlie but made him
More determined for the Sunday

Sunday
Ollie qualified 18th out of 34
Heat 1 - started 18th finished 18th
Heat 2 - Started 18th finished 20th after dropping right down pack did well back to 20th
Final - Started 18th finished 15th best result after a frustrating day but still managed top rookie

Charlie qualified 4th out of 15 - massive improvement
Heat 1 - Started 4th finished 4th
Heat 2 - Started 4th finished 2nd
Final - Started 2nd he was really hoping for his first national podium and after setting fastest sector 2 in every race the potential was there and the pace. Unfortunately Charlie made a mistake by going round the outside for a move and ended up on the grass which put him a lap behind but boy did he make a recovery drive. After analysing and playing back footage we all live and learn and push on

Fulbeck Sprint round 2

Great day testing on the Saturday finally a dry test day so plenty of time to try different things and both boys looked quick going into Sunday

Qualifying - Ollie qualified 3rd out of 17
Charlie qualified 2nd out of 8

Ollie
Heat 1 - Started 3rd finished second some great pace and Fastest Lap
Heat 2 - Started 2nd finished 2nd happy with the set up and some good battling amongst the top 3
Final - Started 2nd, dropped to 4th on first lap, came through and battling with 2nd place took the position but Lewis took it back on second to last lap so finished 3rd and another fastest lap.
Some great pace, great progress and some great racing with the top 3 all day

Charlie
Heat 1 - Started 1st and finished 1st with fastest lap
Heat 2 - Started 2nd finished 3rd
Final - Started 1st finished 2nd some great racing again with the top 3 was switch back a few times for 2nd and 3rd place
Great weekend for the boys with podiums and fastest laps.

Superone Rounds 1 & 2 Rowrah

Friday Testing - Fog, Heavy Rain and Wind meant it challenging for Charlie who hasn’t been at that track before. Ollie struggled with pace Friday

Saturday Race Day Round 1
Ollie - Qualifying 14th out of 34
Heat 1 - started 14th finished 22nd not a great heat but knew what we had to work on
Heat 2 - started 14th finished 17th
Final - Started 18th finished 12th in the most awful weather all day ☔️

Round 2 Sunday
Qualifying - Qualified 9th out of 34 really happy with the pace
Heat 1 - Started 9th finished 10th
Heat 2 - Started 9th finished 10th
Final - Started 8th finished 11th was a dry day and pace was there really happy to be running around the top 10 in such a grid at Superone

Charlie qualifying - Qualified 8th out of 11
Heat 1 - Started 8th finished 9th
Heat 2 - Started 8th finished 6th
Final - Started 8th finished 6th

Sunday Round 2 Charlie
Qualified 7th out of 11
Heat 1 - after the first lap my chain broke so DNF
Heat 2 - Started 7th raced his heart out and just narrowly missed second place crossing the line in third
Final - Started 6th finished 6th
Massive improvements for Charlie after not racing there before and had 2 days of wet before he could race in the dry
