Something slightly different in today. A 1933 Chevrolet Master with low a low oil pressure fault. This is the only one in the UK to my knowledge, these older cars are the type that I enjoy working on the most.

With the sump dropped it’s obvious that the mesh oil filter has become blocked and collapsed. Parts are very scarce for this particular car so a new filter will be made up in house.

On Friday 27th my work van along with my tools was stolen. The van and the tools in it were the only way I had to make a living, so we had to temporarily close.

In my mind I imagined that the van and tools would never be recovered, so i made the decision to close and cancel all bookings until i could figure things out. Some of you may have seen that post.

However, in the early hours of the 28th my van was found and recovered along with the perpetrator by Staffordshire police. A few hours later Staffordshire police also managed to locate and recover the tools that were inside the van from a residential garage.

I genuinely cannot thank Staffordshire police enough for their efforts and quick action in this case. All the officers I have dealt with have been amazing. My tools have been handed back (which is the main thing) however, my van has been seized as evidence for the foreseeable.

I will still be working out of my unit and doing mobile jobs in a limited capacity from my car until i get my van back.

Thank you to my customers who were incredibly understanding of me canceling their appointments at such short notice. All the jobs booked in from the 30th onwards will be still attended and you will be re-notified of this.

Since re opening at a limited capacity to the public we have been working behind the scenes on an exciting new project, we now have a fully operational garage!!
For all of those jobs that are a bit too technical to do mobile, or simply due to bad weather we can now do it all!

We also now have a working website where you are able to book basic services, or simply just contact us with a query.
As of 19/03/26 our email address will be continually monitored and have a dedicated member of staff to reply to all queries via phone, email, social media or website.

Hi all,
So after a blood cancer diagnosis earlier last year, I have been closed for any bookings to the general public for nearly 9 months.

It’s been a tough few months. However, i’m ridiculously grateful to all my regular and commercial contracted customers who were unbelievably forgivable and understanding when I was unable to make scheduled bookings, when I wasn’t physically able to work for more than a few hours a day and when I wasn’t able to work at all.

I am still regularly undergoing treatment, however my body is coping well enough that I now feel i’m ready to get back doing what I love full-ish time.

From January 5th our phone lines will be reopened and we will be accepting bookings from the public.

During my time off did receive some negative reviews on google for the phone lines being closed, even though the business was marked as temporarily closed. So please, if you’ve ever used my services feel free to give me a review on google or facebook.

Thank you for understanding and i can’t wait to get back to what I love doing in 2026.

Here’s some of the cars we had the pleasure of working on today.

A 2024 Porsche 911, in for an interminent engine management light that the dealer coudnt fault. Diagnosed as a loose plug on the fuel pressure sensor. Plug cleaned up, pushed back in securely and the fault disappeared.

A 2023 Ferrari 812 Superfast Competizione, in for a tpms fault. Battery had recently died and tpms control module had dropped the NSF pressure sensor code. We recoded the sensor and the fault was gone!

A 2012 Citoren DS3 with a misfire. We traced it down to a compression issue. From there we removed the rocker cover to reveal a loose head bolt. We then attempted to replace and retorque the bolt but the damage to the head gasket had already been done, now booked in for a head gasket replacement!

And lastly but not least a One of One 2024 Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato. This car didn’t require anything fixing but god it was nice to look at.

Well this customer definitely had their moneys worth out of this clutch and flywheel. We’ve been doing an awful lot of clutches lately, it’s a good job they’re one of my favourite jobs to do.

New clutch, concentric slave cylinder and dual mass flywheel fitted and it drove like new.

If your clutch is slipping, don’t delay getting it replaced because it could cost you more! Get in touch for a free quote.

These past two weeks we’ve been absolutely flat out, all day every day.

Here is one of our jobs from this week. This was a first for me, i’ve never seen a counter shaft explode the way this one did and at only 51,000 miles! It took absolutely everything it could with it.

Surprisingly it still somewhat drove and the customer only noticed a problem when the clutch started to slip because it was soaked in gear oil.

New clutch, consentric slave cylinder, flywheel and recon gearbox fitted and it was good as new.
