Today, during a lesson, my student was targeted by this HGV driver. Despite my student maintaining a safe, legal speed and started making great progress, this driver decided to:
❌ Tailgate at dangerously high speeds.
❌ Flash lights to intimidate a learner.
❌ Ignore the Highway Code regarding safe stopping distances.
What speed was this lorry driver doing at the start of this 30 mph rd ??

My student asked after . "What if I panicked and slammed the brakes on?" The answer: The lorry would have crushed the back of the car. It would be 100% the lorry driver’s fault, but the trauma would stay with both myself and my student forever.

To the driver: You’re driving a multi-ton weapon. And your speed at the beginning was clearly over the speed limit you then proceeded to using it to "push" a learner isn't just unprofessional but highly dangerous..

I could upload many a day , 🙄🙄
Yet again my student is making more than good progress, come to a 30mph slows down in good time ,
But not this one .. obviously the speed limits don't apply to them ..
Let's get in front of the learner syndrome ...

My lesson this morning, making great progress reading the roundabout ahead perfectly no hesitation.
Taking the 3rd exit at the roundabout right hand lane , this silver car taking the 2nd exit left hand , well he didn't want to use his lane he wanted to share ours !!
I had to quickly jump on my side of the pedals to slow our car down and pull the steering wheel towards the roundabout how we didn't hit it !!
I did sound the horn for a very long time unfortunately no sound .
My learner did well and kept calm throughout .

Oh they waved at us when they exited the roundabout.
Keep safe out there and remember lanes what are not yours stay out of them
