Can you really improve the soundtrack of a GT4 RS?

It's a question we're asked all the time.

We recently had this Porsche 718 GT4 RS in the workshop to fit one of our GD OAPs - a popular upgrade for owners looking to let that 4.0-litre breathe a little more freely and enhance the driving experience.

The GT4 RS already delivers an incredible sound, but our OAP takes things a step further, giving the car an even more purposeful, engaging soundtrack without taking away what makes it so special.

It's a simple upgrade that makes a big difference every time you turn the key.

Track days are what cars like this were built for... even if they occasionally involve an unplanned trip across the grass... 🏁

This 718 GT4 RS came straight to us after its latest outing, with the owner hearing a noise from the rear following a little off-track excursion.

After giving the car a thorough check over, we fitted new brake lines, flushed the brake fluid, carried out an oil and filter service, and finished it off with a full detail so it's looking as good as it's driving again.

Thankfully, everything is sorted and it's now prepped and ready for its next track day in a couple of weeks' time.

Because the best garage queens are the ones that never become garage queens.

We recently had this 911 Turbo S PDK in the workshop for one of our most popular upgrade packages:

✅ GD Stage 2 Engine Calibration
✅ GD TCU Calibration
✅ GD Sports Cats

The Turbo S is already an incredibly capable car, but with the right hardware and calibration there's still plenty more to.

Our GD Sports Cats improve exhaust flow, providing the ideal foundation for our Stage 2 Engine Calibration. The result is stronger performance, improved throttle response and power that's delivered smoothly and progressively throughout the rev range.

Alongside this, our GD TCU Calibration refines the PDK's shift strategy and torque management, helping the gearbox make the most of the additional performance while maintaining the drivability that makes the Turbo S such an impressive all-round package.

As with every car that comes through the workshop, the focus isn't just on making it faster - it's about making the whole driving experience better.

Some cars deserve a second look... this one deserves a third and a fourth.

Finished in the unmistakable Ultra Violet, this 991.1 GT3 RS was in with us to make sure it drives every bit as well as it looks.

A full string alignment, complete inspection of the running gear and checks across all four corners mean everything is working in harmony. On a car built at this level of precision, there's no room for guesswork.

Because when Porsche got the fundamentals on this so right, the goal isn't to change it... it's to make sure it performs exactly as was intended.

They're back!

Our PADM Mount Sensors are now back in stock, this time as Version 2.

There's no change internally – they're the same proven sensors that so many of you are already running. The only difference is the finish. We've updated the housing to black to better match the rest of our product range and the Genome Design branding.

As before, our PADM Mount Sensors are available in two variants:

• 718 2.0L / 2.5L
• 991.1, 991.2, 981 & 718 4.0L

We also have just a couple of the original version left in stock for anyone who prefers the previous finish.

A couple of things to note:�
• Supplied as a pair – we don't sell them individually.�
• UK shipping only for the time being.

☀️GD SUMMER SHUTDOWN☀️

With summer in full swing...we wanted to let you know that the Genome Design workshop will be taking a short annual break.

We'll be closing at **4:30pm on Wednesday 5th August** and will reopen at **8:30am on Friday 14th August**, when the team will be back in the workshop and ready to get back to it.

During this time, our phone lines won't be monitored as normal, but we'll continue to check **email enquiries** periodically throughout the shutdown. If you need to get in touch about an existing booking, would like to arrange future work, or have a general enquiry, please send us an email and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

We kindly ask that you avoid sending multiple emails about the same enquiry. As you can imagine, our inbox becomes much busier while the team are away, and sending follow-up emails before we've had a chance to reply only pushes conversations further down the queue. We really appreciate your patience and understanding, and we'll respond to every enquiry as soon as possible.

If you're planning to have your Porsche serviced, tuned or booked in after we return, we'd recommend getting in touch before we close, as availability is already filling up for the weeks ahead.

Thank you to Beau! 👏

This week we’ve had Beau joining us for work experience, helping out with our social media, and it’s safe to say he’s absolutely smashed it.

We first met Beau around two years ago when he came along to photograph one of our events, so he was already familiar with Genome Design and the team. Since then, it’s been brilliant to see how much he’s developed his skills and confidence.

From filming and photography to editing and content creation, Beau has thrown himself into everything this week with a fantastic attitude, plenty of initiative, and some brilliant ideas. He’s been a huge help, and we’ve genuinely loved having him as part of the team.

He’s impressed us that much, we’ve already offered him a job for when he leaves school! 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 We’re also hoping he’ll be able to spend some time with us over the summer holidays to continue building his experience and helping out with our content.

Thanks again, Beau - it’s been a pleasure having you with us this week, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
