718 GT4 at Silverstone: Early Build Review ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ
Earlier in our Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 build series, we took the car to Silverstone with our Front Camber Plates and Rear Toe Arms installed. ๐Ÿ”ง

We headed out on track with Leyton Clarke behind the wheel of the 718 GT4, running a baseline setup to assess how the car performs out on Silverstoneโ€™s full circuit. ๐Ÿ

Once Leyton has familiarised himself with the car's behaviour, we will adjust the setup to suit his preferences and maximise the Cayman's performance out on track. ๐Ÿค

This BMW F82 M4 was in our workshop for the installation of our Front Offset Caster Bushes and Solid Rear Control Arm Bushes, enhancing how the car drives. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

At the front, our Solid Offset Front Control Arm Bushes replace the rubber bushes with a solid solution, improving front-end stability. ๐Ÿ“ˆ

These offset bushes are engineered with eccentric inserts. When installed, they alter the front suspension geometry to increase positive caster, helping to increase dynamic camber gain as steering lock is applied. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

At the rear, the OEM control arm bushes can flex under load, allowing camber and toe angles to change dynamically. These changes in camber and toe can lead to less predictable handling through the corner. ๐Ÿ“‰

Our Solid Rear Control Arm Bushes help the rear geometry remain more consistent when the car is driven hard. ๐Ÿ”’

We paired these upgrades with a bespoke geometry alignment, tailored to suit the driver's preferences. ๐Ÿค

We recently had this Toyota A90 Supra in our workshop for the installation of our Camber Plates and Solid Front Control Arm Bushes, along with Eibach Lowering Springs and Anti-Roll Bars. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

The Supra is a capable car from the factory, however there is potential in the chassis to enhance the way it drives. ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Installing camber plates and solid front control arm bushes will tighten the front end, improving steering precision and feedback. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Adding Eibachโ€™s lowering springs and anti-roll bars will further sharpen the chassis, enhancing steering response and overall stability. โšก๏ธ

Finished with a tailored geometry alignment, this limited-edition Supra is now set up to make the most of its suspension upgrades during hard driving. ๐Ÿ™Œ

One difference between Porscheโ€™s 991.2 GT3 RS and 992 GT3 RS compared with much of the wider 911 range is the use of solid spherical joints (monoballs) in key suspension locations at the front and rear of the car. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

Most non-GT 911 models use more compliant rubber bushes. A rubber bushing will flex under the serious loads experienced on track, causing the geometry to change, hindering track performance. ๐Ÿ“‰

Upgrading the rubber bushings to solid spherical bearings (monoballs) increases stability. The result is more stability and clearer feedback from the car, boosting driver confidence. ๐Ÿ™Œ

This Porsche 996 GT2 visited our workshop for our Rear Toe Arms along with a Fast Road geometry alignment. ๐Ÿ“

The 996 GT2 is infamous for being extremely demanding to drive. Due to its extreme power on boost and lack of electronic assists, it earned itself the nickname 'Widowmaker'. ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Our toe arms will increase this GT2's rear stability and predictability when putting down the power, especially on corner exit. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

Pairing this with a tailored geometry alignment means the car will be more composed, giving the driver much more confidence to explore the limits of this extremely powerful Porsche. ๐Ÿ™Œ

NEW BLOG: Best Porsche Cayman suspension upgrades for the 981 and 718 platform.

All versions of the Cayman are great to drive on back roads and trackdays. However, there is always room for improvement with any performance car, and Porscheโ€™s 981/718 chassis is no exception.

Read our step-by-step guide to making the Cayman handle like a true sports car.

Our Porsche front Top Mounts and rear Toe Links give your Cayman GT4/GT4 RS a serious advantage on the track by providing the adjustment range needed to support more aggressive alignment settings. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

Increased negative camber helps keep the tire contact patch optimized under hard cornering loads, improving mid-corner grip and promoting even temperature distribution across the full width of the tire. ๐Ÿ›ž

Our Top Mounts give your car a much wider range of front camber adjustment by moving the damper top mounting position further inboard. They also feature a fixed +2.0 degree increase in positive caster compared to the OEM top mounts, improving steering feel and high-speed stability. ๐Ÿ“ˆ

At the rear, our Toe Links provide a much larger window of toe adjustment. This allows more aggressive rear camber settings to be dialed in while still achieving the correct toe, helping maximize the tire contact patch during high-speed cornering. ๐Ÿ

NEW M2 AWD!
BMW is set to launch a brand new G87 M2 AWD model later this summer. The modelโ€™s xDrive system will feature a multi-plate transfer case to ensure a fully variable distribution of power across the front and rear axles. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Alongside this update, Borusan Turkish Blue, a stunning colour found on other BMW models, is now available as an option. ๐Ÿคฉ

The xDrive G87 M2 features a double-joint, sprung-strut front axle and a five-link axle at the rear. This is nearly identical to the RWD variant, with the addition of two driveshafts across the front axle. ๐Ÿค

This follows in the path of BMWโ€™s G80 M3, which was originally RWD only at launch, but is now exclusively offered as an AWD vehicle from the factory, with the option to send all power to the rear wheels using the M Setup menu. ๐Ÿ‘Œ

TRACTION SATISFACTION
In an upcoming instalment of our YouTube series, we are fitting our in-house developed rear traction arms to our rear-wheel-drive G87 M2 development car. We canโ€™t wait to demonstrate the effects this upgrade has on handling performance! ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ
