Kudos to the Japanese- they really do build very reliable cars. HOWEVER! This image depicts why every Japanese car really does require professional rustproofing treatment in the UK. This is the rear near side end of the chassis rail and the side of the boot floor. There is exposed primer clearly visible. This car will be spending itβs life in the southern border region of Scotland. A mere 2-3 winters on the heavily salted roads would trigger significant corrosion in these exposed areas of the chassis. Protecting the vehicle with, βRustbusterβ Corrolan wax will prevent corrosion from taking hold and destroying it. If left unprotected, this vehicle would be be rotting by year five of itβs life. Professional rust protection costs a fraction of welding and fabrication work. Itβs a no-brainer! π(Note to self, I really must remove rubber gloves before typing text! π€£)
