It’s unbelievable how quickly it’s come around, but today marks 1 year since we opened for business at our Hyperion Street unit! 🥳 Not many people saw the unit before we officially opened and we never shared our whole moving and settling in process, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to show everyone how The Shed you see today came together! It certainly wasn’t an easy job, but with the help from a few fantastic friends and some seriously long hours put in we soon got the place feeling like home. This coming October we’ll be celebrating 10 years in business, and for that we can only thank you lot, our customers old and new, so here’s a big fat thanks to everyone that has stuck by and supported us through the many transformations! I know there’s a few of you that have brought your bikes to John and the team for the entire time, and longer!
Now to address our last post from a few weeks ago regarding the burglary. So many of you helped us get the word out, and some of you offered us assistance in the most incredible ways, from friends and customers to complete strangers that just completely restored our faith in humanity with their generous offers, thank you ever so much.
I won’t go into too much detail, but we very quickly recovered the tools that where stolen, had we not I’m afraid it may have been the end of everything for us, which was heartbreaking especially for John who has poured himself into this place.
We haven’t yet managed to recover the bike that was stolen, and we have been blown away by the kindness and understanding that the bikes owner, David, has shown over the past few weeks. For him to tell us that he’ll still choose to bring his new bike to us in the future was such an unexpected compliment, a true gentleman.
Now to end this very long post, we’re open for business as usual whatever that is! And for those of you that still don’t know, we’ve moved, you’ll find us on Hyperion Street, HU9 1BD, where we’ve been for an entire year! 🥳 And yes we do still have customers that go to the old unit first, and yes they admit to it every time, some of them even call us to ask why we’re closed! 🤣
