Ford Transit Custom and Ford Transit get security updates - VanMan

At a VERY minimum anyone with the Ford Transit Custom or the mk8 Transit should now have upgraded their door lock to prevent thieves from using a method to gain access without a key. We still would recommend this. Also finally after 5 years it looks like Ford are finally trying to solve the issue. All owners of the Custom and the mk8 Transit can get a software update for the BCM that will stop entry to the rear doors via the door lock. Call your local dealership now! As the lock is still sub standard, we still recommend a new security lock.

We haven't had a chance to post in a while but here is a map of one of our jobs we done for a customer today. 7 hour round trip and customer was back on the road with 2 Keys within 15 minutes. We beat the dealer by £400. Happy New Year to that.

I was lucky enough to take an hour break for lunch and visit my grandad at his residential and care home.

Unfortunately he suffers from dementia and Parkinson's disease but still manages to make us laugh with his tall tales about the war.

I would like to thank Sentab for sending a beautiful hamper from Harrods for my Granda and the rest of the residents.

They do a great job in helping the elderly communicate with their families through social media platforms creating an easy to use app.

Volkswagen has confirmed over 400,000 vehicles in the UK will need new fuel injectors on top of a software upgrade. At present there has been no mention of compensation. Surely it can't get any worse for VW?!
