Found to be leaking from thermostat housing/heater pipe

They could have put it in a slightly more accessible place though...🙄

Little 2017 in for EML. One of the faults listed was no LIN communication with the radiator shutter motor. Quick wiring checks for 12v & Ground as well as a handy little used to check for LIN signal revealed no LIN signal at the Motor. Found LIN signal at the next connector along narrowing it down to a small part of the loom where the break was. Little wiring repair and back in business!

2016 1.25 initially booked in for an engine light.
Engine light was due to a cylinder 4 misfire. Found that it was misfiring due to a spark plug wet with oil and water as well as a lot of steam coming from the tailpipe.
Customer had advised they had a waterpump leak and overheated. Water pump was previously replaced however a sniff test (yellow liquid) showed exhaust gases present into he cooling system indicative of a blow headgasket or warped cylinder head.
That little bit of driving overheating caused the cylinder head to warp, coolant tank to boil over and still overheat.

Cylinder head removed, skimmed, fresh coolant, & belt kit, set of spark plugs & and oil + filter

Recheked to confirm no exhaust gases present (blue liquid) and no more misfires -Fixed ✅

in for multiple erratic warning lights on dash--found alternator to be overcharging--new alternator in and now charging correctly 👍

/ / all use this #1.2Puretech engine with a timing belt submerged in oil known as a . Over time the oil degrades the belt fairly quickly and blocks up the oil pick up, if not caught soon it can cause catastrophic engine damage. Get your belts changed on time and change your oil regularly!
