Dale’s autism knows no bounds this week! 😂⛵
So frustrated with having a million browser tabs and chart programmes open, he has gone and built himself a Boatman’s Tools section on our website—with a tide clock, barometric pressure, weather forecasts and a passage planner.
He hasn’t stopped admiring it. Honestly, I think he’s more pleased with this than anything else he’s built! 🤓😂
Anyhoo, if that’s your thing, it’s free to use. The passage planner gives a best guess informed by current-model data where available—it’s a handy guide, so please still do your proper passage planning!
Hope you find it useful. Feedback is welcome, and if you like it, please share it with your crewmates. 💙

BIG CAT BOAT CHARTERS IS GROWING! ⛵️🎣
It’s been a busy few months behind the scenes at Big Cat Boat Charters, and we’re delighted to finally share what we’ve been working on.
Our completely remodelled website is now live, our booking system is open, and BCBC is growing from our sailing roots into a broader range of experiences and services on the Solent.
Of course, RaRa remains at the heart of Big Cat. From our Beaulieu River base, we’re offering our 4-hour Discovery, 6-hour Signature Solent and 8-hour Ultimate Solent experiences, alongside our Ch*****ne Sundowner and Sea Safari & Nature experience. Whether it’s sailing, swimming, paddleboarding, wildlife, lunch ashore or simply switching off for a day on the water, the idea remains the same: your day, your way. Big Cat Boat Charters
🎣 And now there’s fishing too.
We’re delighted to welcome Raptor, a 10m Redfin sports fisher, into the BCBC family, giving us the ability to offer dedicated fishing charters alongside our sailing experiences. Big Cat Boat Charters
And we’re not finished…
Summer 2027 will see an Axopar 28 join the Big Cat fleet, opening up another completely different way to experience the Solent. Fast, stylish and hugely versatile, she’ll complement RaRa and our fishing offering perfectly.
We’re also available for commercial work, event support, media and filming platforms, building on the work RaRa has already undertaken supporting professional media teams on the water.
Most importantly, a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has joined us during our shakedown trials this year. You’ve helped us test, learn, refine what we do and turn RaRa into the experience we originally imagined.
If you were one of those guests, we'd really appreciate one final favour: please leave us a review on Google or TripAdvisor. You'll find the review links in the footer of our new website. It only takes a minute, but for a young local business like ours, those reviews make an enormous difference. ❤️
Have a look around the new site, explore the experiences, meet RaRa and Raptor, discover our routes and see what we've been building:

Wildlife season is in full swing! Skipper Dale Toms captured these images on the Beaulieu River, where Marsh Harriers, Ospreys, White-tailed Eagles, Buzzards, seals and rare wildfowl can all be seen this time of year.
Our sea safaris include breakfast at the stunning RSYC, where the adventure begins on the veranda with gorgeous views of the Beaulieu River. Then join us on the water and experience the wildlife of Beaulieu and Newtown Creek for yourself. Get in touch to book your sea safari!
