About Horndean Tyres Limited

Founded by Ron Michie in 1980, Horndean Tyres originally started trading as a mobile fitting service & the company has been expanding ever since. Before that he had worked for SeTyres in Southsea, so with a detailed understanding of the tyre industry he decided to form his own business. At the age of 32 Ron began the business working from a mobile fitting van, His fou

nding principle was to offer a accessible, friendly service while offering value for money. This was obviously a success and within 2 years Horndean Tyres had it's first employees. Now with 4 mobile fitting units and a storage depot it was time to take the next step. In 1987 Horndean tyres moved to Westfield Industrial Estate. Ron now had a dedicated tyre fitting depot & a mobile service running alongside. Today Horndean tyres has a large fitting depot and a fleet of Mobile fitting units. We have expanded to cover not just Cars, Vans & 4x4's but also Truck, Plant, Agricultural & Earthmover tyres. The company is still run by Ron Michie, his wife Pat & his son Pete, with the help of a dedicated team of staff. Horndean tyres has a long future ahead of it, thanks to the firm foundations & principles set out over 30 years ago. Just Added!
