Bit of routine maintenance on Transit, the brake pad warning light had only just come on and the owner was pro active in giving me a call to get them changed and not waiting until they wore down more and potentially damaging the disc as well.

As always quality components used to ensure longevity, they also come with a full fitting kit and new wear sensors. All wheels that are removed are always tightened up to manufactures spec.

Another new customer, another happy customer!

I was called out to this owners pride and joy to carry out a full service, after completion of the work the customer came out and started it and said it instantly sounded better, using quality products such as the Mann filters and Shell oil that I always use can have this affect.

For the eagle eyed amongst you might have noticed that this “M4” has no spark plugs in the service items…..this is because it’s actually a 435D but heavily modified, the customer is aware that it’s equally important to maintain the running of the vehicle and not just the aesthetic side of things.

🚕this mini cab gets through some serious miles, it is therefore important to this customer that basic maintenance such as the timing belt and water pump was replaced at the correct intervals.
OE quality parts from as always, were used, along with the correct timing tools and manufactures procedures and tightening torques were adhere to.

This was my view for a good few hours, laid underneath this VW golf, replacing the EGR valve (exhaust gas recirculation valve) made by Pierburg.

Not a bad job to do, well….not when I’ve done countless of these over the years as it’s a very common issue with the 1.6 tdi engine.

The 2 pictures are a year apart, I’ve been in business a little over a year now and starting to see cars for their annual servicing, it shows customers are happy with the service I provide and trust me to always do a good job using quality parts, all at the convenience of their homes.

Keeping fleet on the road, the brake pads had worn down causing the wear indicator to bring a warning light on the dash, I met one of their plumbers at a job they was on, and before he had time to finish his job, the brake pads had been replaced.

🤢these must have been some really old brakes. Although the friction material on the brake pad had plenty left on it, it had rusted away from the backing plate, that coupled with rusty corroded brake discs made these brakes very noisy, inefficient and dangerous. Of course, Pagid items were fitted, slide pins cleaned and greased.
